Hegedus and Kaskey named December Students of the Month
Fleetwood December Students of the Month are Thomas Hegedus and Laura Kaskey. Thomas Hegedus Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Hegedus of Blandon. Thomas aspires to enter college and would like to continue his baseball career in college. Thomas has been involved in the following clubs at Fleetwood Area High School and Berks Career and Technical Center: Baseball, National Technical Honor Society for three years and Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society. Also, Thomas supports his community by dedicating his time to volunteer at the American Legion Post 625, running in various 5K races for charity, by serving as an alter server at Holy Guardian Angels Church. Thomas really admires his father, Greg Hegedus, because he is always there to guide and support him in all his decisions. Laura Kaskey Laura is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kaskey of Blandon. Laura’s future plans include attending college for Music Technology and eventually owning a theater performance hall. Laura has been involved in the following clubs/activities at Fleetwood Area High School: Future Business Leaders of America President, Class Vice President, National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Student Council, Book Club and Film Club. Also, Laura has dedicated herself to the community by being actively involved in volunteering throughout the community in Girl Scouts, 4-H Sewing Club and Camp Counseling. One person Laura really admires is her older sister, Amanda Kaskey. Laura states that her sister is a kind and ambitious person that supports and loves her through all her endeavors.
