Winter Nature Photography: 1 to 3 p.m. at Blue Marsh Lake Conference Center, 1268 Palisades Dr., Leesport. Bring your DSLR or film camera and learn tips on how to shoot great winter-time photos outdoors. Slide presentation and cold weather tips and techniques. Then, professional photographer and instructor, Valerie Hoffman will lead us on an exploratory walk, capturing great moments in nature. Free program for all ages and Cocoa and warm treats available. 10th Annual FriendFest Beer and Wine tasting event: held in Beltzner Hall on the Kutztown Fairgrounds. Featuring beer and wine tasting, live music, delicious food and various vendors, all proceeds going to help the Optimist Club of Kutztown’s children’s programs in local communities, as well as assisting Friend, Inc. end poverty and hunger in rural Northeastern Berks County. Tickets at Colasanti Printing, 305 West Main Street in Kutztown and at Mr. Food, 342 West Main Street in Kutztown, also on FriendFest.org. Tickets $25 in advance, $35 day of event. Designated Driver tickets $10. There are two sessions for the event, 3 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
