Kutz­town Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship dis­cusses plans, goals for 2018 at an­nual meet­ing

Vol­un­teers will be rec­og­nized

Kutz­town Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship will host their an­nual meet­ing on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at Trin­ity Lutheran Church in Kutz­town re­gard­ing sev­eral key points re­gard­ing the state of the or­ga­ni­za­tion.

Dur­ing the meet­ing com­mit­tees and board mem­bers will dis­cuss plans and goals for the 2018 year.

Cur­rent board mem­bers and com­mit­tee chairs will rec­og­nize and ap­pre­ci­ate vol­un­teers dur­ing the event as well as an­nounce awards for KCP Vol­un­teer of the Year and Com­mu­nity Or­ga­ni­za­tion of the Year. Vol­un­teers and com­mit­tees will be in­vited to con­nect dur­ing the meet­ing to share ideas.

As of the new year, Sandy Green joined KCP to serve as the Com­mu­nity Li­ai­son. Green brings her vast knowl­edge of lead­ing a com­mu­nity to the or­ga­ni­za­tion. Along shar­ing her ex­per­tise, she will fo­cus on com­mu­nity re­la­tions, eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment, and re­tail re­cruit­ment.

Eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment will be a fo­cal point dur­ing the meet­ing to im­prove Kutz­towns so­cial and eco­nomic well be­ing.

Re­tail re­cruit­ment will be dis­cussed in the an­nual meet­ing as well with hopes to bring more long stand­ing busi­ness into Kutz­town’s com­mu­nity. In re­gards to com­mit­tee up­dates any and all ideas or projects be­ing worked on will be pre­sented for fur­ther re­view.

The an­nual meet­ing is open to com­mu­nity mem­bers within the Kutz­town Area who are look­ing to get in­volved in KCP projects.

Founded in 2002, Kutz­town Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship is a com­mu­nity-driven non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion ded­i­cated to the eco­nomic re­vi­tal­iza­tion and preser­va­tion of Kutz­town. The Part­ner­ship serves as a li­ai­son to build com­mu­nity, to forge pos­i­tive re­la­tion­ships, and to fos­ter cul­tural and eco­nomic col­lab­o­ra­tion in this his­toric col­lege town.
