Kutz­town fresh­man wins Best Story in Ken­nel Club Story Telling Con­test

Zoe Wei­d­man wins $250 in cash, prizes for her­self, her dogs

Kutz­town Area High School 9th grader Zoe Wei­d­man was named Best Story in Con­test in the sec­ond an­nual Le­high Val­ley Ken­nel Club Story Telling Con­test.

The con­test cel­e­brates the ex­tra­or­di­nary re­la­tion­ship be­tween stu­dents and their pure-bred dogs and this year’s theme was “To­day I Woke Up As My Dog!” Stu­dents from through­out the Le­high Vally Area par­tic­i­pated but Zoe was a re­peat win­ner hav­ing taken sec­ond place last year. But this year she was “top dog” win­ning more than $250 in cash and prizes for her­self and her dogs.

Stu­dents from through­out the Le­high Vally Area par­tic­i­pated. First Place went to North­wester Le­high ju­nior Christo­pher Hip­pen­steel, Sec­ond Place awarded to Parkland 7th grader Mered­ith Sch­moyer, Third Place to Parkland 7th grader So­phie Pierre and Honor­able Men­tion was pre­sented to Parkland 7th grader Ju­lia Scriff.
