Optimist Club of Kutztown 2018 Fool’s Run: Races start and end on College Blvd. in front of Kutztown Fairgrounds and Kutztown University Lot 1 parking area. Bob Focht Memorial 10 mile race starts at 9 a.m. and Sally Miksiewicz 5K begins at 9:10 a.m. The Optimist Club 2 mile walk starts at 9:15 a.m. Race day registration is 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Beltzner Hall at Kutztown Fairgrounds. Held rain or shine. Race director has right and responsibility to cancel due to extreme and dangerous weather, call 610-698-3826. There are no refund. Proceeds from the run benefit the Donald Peters Memorial scholarship fund for local high school seniors to attend Kutztown University.

Easter Cantata: 7 p.m., Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 121 S. Home Avenue, Topton, presents Ruth Schram’s ‘Living Last Words’ Easter Cantata. Schram imagines the responses of witnesses of Christ’s crucifixion at Calvary. Through their dramatic monologues and the choir’s passionate music, the Cantata helps us understand Christ’s ultimate sacrifice. All welcome to attend the free performance.
