KUTZ­TOWN 2, AN­TI­ETAM 0 » At Kutz­town April 5, Justin Ren­ninger struck out 15 and had an RBI dou­ble as the Cougars shut out the Mounts in their Berks Con­fer­ence game.

Ren­ninger al­lowed just two sin­gles and one walk in the com­plete game for Kutz­town, which scored two un­earned runs in the fourth in­ning. Pay­ton Spiers threw a five-hit­ter for An­ti­etam, strik­ing out five and walk­ing two and hav­ing one of the Mounts’ two hits. SCHUYLKILL HAVEN 11, KUTZ­TOWN 8 » At Kutz­town April 7, the Hur­ri­canes took ad­van­tage of 14 walks and used an eight-run fourth in­ning to beat the Cougars (2-2) in non-league ac­tion.


KUTZ­TOWN 10, SCHUYLKILL VAL­LEY 0 » At Kutz­town April 5, Kylie Balthaser hit a three-run home run and scored twice as the Cougars shut out the Hur­ri­canes in five in­nings.

Jill Siefert dou­bled twice, scored once and drove in two runs for Kutz­town, Kayla Fritz went 2-for-2 and scored two runs and win­ning pitcher Kate Calkins dou­bled. DANIEL BOONE 5, KUTZ­TOWN 1 » At Birds­boro April 6, Syd­ney Hayes drove in two runs for the Blaz­ers in a win over the Cougars (2-1).

KUTZ­TOWN 5, TULPE­HOCKEN 2 » At New Scha­ef­fer­stown April 5, Nick We­ber and Thomas Seifert figu­ired in on three of the Cougars’ points in their Berks Con­fer­ence vic­tory over Tulpe­hocken.

We­ber won over Sean Pa­cilio at first sin­gles 6-0, 6-1 while Seifert took his sec­onds­in­gles match with Matt Boyer 6-4, 6-3. They later teamed up at first dou­bles to pre­vail over Tulpe­hocken’s Pa­cilio and Jonah Mathias 6-4, 6-1.

KUTZ­TOWN 4, FLEET­WOOD 3 » At Fleet­wood April 7, Ja­cob Heffner, Paul Ache and Steven Reiss won at sin­gles to help the Cougars edge the Tigers in their Berks Con­fer­ence match.

Kutz­town’s other point came from Ache and Owen Kulp at sec­ond dou­bles, where they han­dled Fleet­wood’s Matt Dy­bowski and Lu­cas Strange 6-2, 6-1.

FLEET­WOOD 95, KUTZ­TOWN 54 » At Fleet­wood April 6, Owen Fen­erty and Ivan Fege­ley each won pairs of in­di­vid­ual events to emerge as the bright spots for the Cougars in a Berks Con­fer­ence loss to the Tigers.

Fen­erty was fast in the sprints, win­ning the 100 (11.57) and 200 (24.28) in ad­di­tion to run­ning a leg of Kutz­town’s first-place 4x100 re­lay (45.48). Fege­ley got his firsts in the field, win­ing the triple jump (41-0 1/4) and the high jump (6-1).

KUTZ­TOWN 74, FLEET­WOOD 70 » At Fleet­wood April 6, Mar­ley Turbett swept the hur­dling events to help the Cougars edge the Tigers in their Berks Con­fer­ence meet.

Turbett won the 100 lows in 17.29 and the 300 in­ter­me­di­ates in 54.02. 100 and 300 hur­dles,

BRANDY­WINE HEIGHTS 3, KUTZ­TOWN 1 » At Top­ton April 3, the Bullets re­bounded from a first-set (22-25) loss to the Cougars to pre­vail in their Berks Con­fer­ence match. BH took the next three by scores of , 25-11, 2518 and 25-21.

Jimmy Lud­wig had 16 kills, two blocks and two aces and Matt Stau­rowsky had 16 as­sists, four aces and two digs to lead the Bullets. For Kutz­town, Dane Fe­g­ley had five kills and Austin Lubak had 12 as­sists.

BERKS CATHOLIC 3, KUTZ­TOWN 0 » At Kutz­town April 5, the Cougars were swept by the Saints in their Berks Con­fer­ence match. BC won by set scores of 25-6, 27-25 and 25-12.

Jack Hagel­barger had 28 as­sists for the Saints. Matt Hagel­barger had 13 kills and Colin Balash had 20 digs for Berks Catholic. For Kutz­town, Nate Ran­som had three blocks.
