KUTZTOWN 11, TULPEHOCKE­N 1 » At New Schaeffers­town April 11, Katie Calkins pitched a complete game three-hitter with 12 strikeouts and tacked on a double and three RBIs at the plate to lead the Cougars (2-0, 5-1) over the Trojans (1-2, 5-4).

Emily Maddock added a two-run home run in the fourth inning to break the game open for the Cougars. For Tulpehocke­n, Rachel Howe doubled and then scored on a Natalie Grumbine single in the fifth. KUTZTOWN 18, EXETER 17 » At Kutztown April 13, Erica Dietrich went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, four RBIs, and a run scored. Jocelyn Miller was 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs, a run scored, and a walk-off single for the Cougars (6-1) in an eight-inning thriller against the Eagles (4-2).

For Exeter, Gillian Debrew was 3-for-5 with two homers, a double, two runs scored, and six RBIs. Karysa Karas was 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, an RBI, and five runs scored.

KUTZTOWN 11, POTTSGROVE 0» At Kutztown April 14, Erica Dietrich went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI, Jordan Dunn went 1-for-3 with a triple and three RBI and Dietrich and Olivia Kardohely threw a combined no-hitter as the Cougars (7-1) shut out the Falcons in five innings.

BERKS CATHOLIC 14, KUTZTOWN 0 » At Forino Sports Complex April 9, Bryce Fuchs went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and Trevor Leamer tossed a two-hitter and drove in two runs as the Saints shut out the Cougars in five innings.

Leveringto­n and Schell were the lone Kutztown players to hit safely. KUTZTOWN 5, TULPEHOCKE­N 4» At New Schaeffers­town April 11, Codey Geist scored what proved to be the gamewinnin­g run for the Cougars on a squeeze bunt by Brady Tucker in the ninth inning during a win over the Trojans.

Geist singled to lead off the ninth, moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Connor O’Neil and reached third on a single by Dylan Moyer before scoring the deciding run. Lucas Floyd went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Kutztown. Jake Carles went 3-for-5 for Tulpehocke­n.

KUTZTOWN 21, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 10 » At Leesport April 12, the Cougars (4-3) had 13 hits and capitalize­d on nine walks and eight Schuylkill Valley errors during a five-inning win over the Panthers.

Lucas Floyd had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs and Codey Geist went 2-for-4 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead Kutztown. Josh Rehr had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs and Mason Gabel had three hits and two runs scored for Schuylkill Valley.

Boys tennis

BERKS CATHOLIC 5, KUTZTOWN 2 » At Forino Sports Complex April 10, Thomas Siefert and Paul Ache did all the Cougars’ scoring in their Berks Conference match with the Saints.

Siefert came on strong for a Henry Pilliod 6-3, 6-7 (2), 10-2 win over Hemry Pilliod at second singles, and Ache handled Guillermo Monzon at third singles, 7-6, 6-3. CONRAD WEISER 6, KUTZTOWN 1 » At Robesonia April 11, Nick Weber and Thomas Siefert teamed up in the doubles bracket to score the Cougars’ lone point in their Berks Conference loss to the Scouts.

Weber and Siefert won out over CW’s Ethan Moyer and Jayden Lewis in the first spot, 6-3, 6-4. KUTZTOWN 7, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 0 » At Leesport April 12, the Cougars dropped just 11 games in singles play during their romp over SV.

Nick Weber, Thomas Siefert and Paul Ache all won their first through thirdsingl­es contests by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Boys track

WYOMISSING 106, KUTZTOWN 43» At Kutztown April 10, Ivan Fegely swept the jumping competitio­n for the Cougars in their Berks Conference meet with the Spartans.

Fegely went 19-3 3/4 in the long jump, 41-0 in the triple jump and 6-1 in the high jump. Kutztown also got a pair of wins from Owen Fenerty in the 100 (11.13) and the 200 (24.33). SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 130, KUTZTOWN 19 » At Leesport April 11, Ivan Fegely was the bright spot for the Cougars as they were outrun by the Panthers in Berks Conference action.

Fegely won the triple and high jumps with respective leaps of 42-0 and 6-0.

Girls track

WYOMISSING 91, KUTZTOWN 58» At Kutztown April 10, Marley Turbett and Skylar Miller each won pairs of individual events to stand out for the Cougars in their Berks Conference meet with the Spartans.

Turnett dominated the hurdles, taking the 100 lows in 16.97 and the 300 intermedia­tes in 52.0. Miller got her firsts in the jumps, winning the long jump (14-11) and the triple jump (32-9). KUTZTOWN 73, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 73 » At Leesport April 11, Emily Bubbenmoye­r and Marley Turbett were the Cougars’ top performers as they drew with the Panthers in their Berks Conference meet.

Bubbenmoye­r swept the sprints, winning the 100 in 13.16 and 200 in 27.89. Turbett swept the hurdles for a second straight day, taking the 100 lows and 300 intermedia­tes.

Boys volleyball

LOUIS E. DIERUFF 3, KUTZTOWN 1 » At Kutztown April 9, Dieruff won out after the Cougars took the second set. Scores were 25-22, 2125, 25-20 and 25-20.

Daniel Luckenbill had 13 kills and Austin Lubak 21 assists for Kutztown, Isaac Mengel contribute­d seven digs and Nate Ransom four aces.

WYOMISSING 3, KUTZTOWN 1 » At Wyomissing April 10, the Cougars were unable to build on their quick start and went on to fall to the Spartans. Set scores were 23-25, 27-25, 25-23 and 2927.

Collin Messenger had 20 kills, eight digs, one block and two aces for Kutztown, with Trevor Jackson adding 41 assists, three kills, and a dig.
