kTown Hall opens its doors for a free Coworking Day on Friday, March 18.

“Remote professionals, entrepreneurs, small business teams — anyone is welcome to join us to try coworking,” said Anne Timpe, community director of kTown Hall in a release.

kTown Hall is a membership-based coworking office space, where those who work independently can access the amenities and networking benefits of a professional office environment on their own, flexible terms. Monthly memberships offer access to the shared workspace, use of the conference room, and participation in networking events.

“We are looking forward to meeting more members of the professional community to collaborate and grow together. Our current membership ranges from freelancers to marketers to writers and software developers,” Timpe said.

Located in the old Kutztown Town Hall between Fair Street and North Whiteoak Street just a short walk from Main Street, the building was built to be the town hall for the Kutztown centennial in 1915. During its history in Kutztown, the building served multiple purposes including as a fire house, YMCA and a library. Most recently, it was the site of Berkley Computer Systems. Timpe and her husband, Nick, purchased and renovated the building in 2019, opening kTown Hall in October 2019.

For the free Co-working Day, doors open at 8 a.m. with a breakfast bar including Kutztownbased Four Monkeys coffee. The networking Happy Hour will be from 4 to 5 p.m. featuring craft beer from Saucony Creek Brewing + Gastropub and local vineyard Stony Run.

“Come for any or all of the day,” Timpe invited. “It’s a great opportunity to recharge your work routine with a new environment, connect with other professionals, and see what the kTown Hall coworking community is all about!”

Participants are asked to register in advance to help manage capacity.
