The Dave Mell Band opens Summer Concert Series
The Dave Mell Band returns to Kutztown to perform in the Kutztown Borough Summer Concert Series on June 4.
Free to the public, the concert will be held rain or shine in the covered Kutztown Park Bandshell from 7 to 9 p.m. The park concession stand, run by Saucony Creek Grille, will be open before and during the concert offering a variety of food and drinks.
Dave Mell has been entertaining for 50 years, starting in 1972 throughout eastern and southeastern Pennsylvania. The band will play a blend of Blues, Rythym & Blues, Rock favorites, and Motown, including great songs of the likes of Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Grateful Dead, Wilson Pickett, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, The Byrds, The Allman Brothers, and many other great groups of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The 2022 Borough of Kutztown Concert Series includes the performances throughout the summer season, including three bands during the 2022 Kutztown Day celebration on Aug. 7.
June 14: Flag Day Concert from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
June 18: Ben Mauger’s Dixieland Band from 7 to 9 p.m.
June 20: The Ringgold Band from 6 to 8 p.m.
June 25: The Cramer Brothers from 7 to 9 p.m.
July 6: Kutztown University Summer Music Festival from 7 to 9 p.m.
July 9: The Mudflaps from 7 to 9 p.m.
July 16: Frog Holler from 7 to 9 p.m.
July 23: TimeWhys from 7 to 9 p.m.
July 30: The Fabulous Greaseband from 6 to 8 p.m. following the Kutztown Kruizz Car Show on Main.
Aug. 7: Kutztown Day — Swing Fever Band from 1 to 3 p.m., Happy Dutchmen Band from 3 to 6 p.m., and Flamin’ Dick & the Hot Rods 6 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 11: Kutztown Area School District Summer Band 7 to 9 p.m.
