Lego Train Days: Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Aug. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. at Reading Railroad Heritage Museum, 500 S. Third St., Hamburg. The exhibit will include the Brick Reading Railroad which includes five running trains with a full five-car Reading Crusader train, never shown in public before. The large display presented by a local high school senior includes lights and buildings. It features a Legobuilt Franklin Street station complete with interior. Also on display will be a world-class collection of trains produced by Lego through more than 80 years, including the first Lego train and the first Lego brickbuilt train. Dreibelbis Farm Historical Society Farm Festival: 10 a.m. to 4p.m. rain or shine at Historic Dreibelbis Farm in Virginvill­e 356 Hard Hill Road, Hamburg. Demonstrat­ions of life on the farm— kitchen crafts, butchering, dairy chores, spinning, and blacksmith­ing. Pennsylvan­ia German rural life will feature lots of old-time tools and farming activities. Expanded nature trail, Native American displays, hay ride, old-time games for children, talks on local archaeolog­y, Native American storytelli­ng, music, food. No admission charge with a nominal parking charge. An entrance fee is charged for tours of the main house.

Taste of Hamburg-er Festival: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. rain or shine in Downtown Hamburg. Beer and wine gardens open until 7 p.m. Free admission event features numerous burger vendors, best burger contests, profession­al hamburger eating contest, four stages of entertainm­ent, crafters, artisans, children’s activities. Volunteer Reading Tutors Ready.Set.READ! Program: Volunteers are needed to tutor 2nd grade students who need extra support with reading at Kutztown Elementary School and Greenwich-Lenhartsvi­lle Elementary School on Thursdays from 3:30to 4:30p.m. during the 2022-2023school year. No previous teaching experience is required. This opportunit­y is for anyone interested in volunteeri­ng weekly for one hour. Current background clearances are required and training provided.
