Ready.Set.READ! Program: Volunteers are needed to tutor 2nd grade students who need extra support with reading at Kutztown Elementary School and Greenwich-Lenhartsvi­lle Elementary School on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. during the 20222023 school year. No previous teaching experience is required. This opportunit­y is for anyone interested in volunteeri­ng weekly for one hour. Current background clearances are required and training provided. Parent session at 6p.m. and family session at 7 p.m., ending by 8 p.m. Each week that a family completes both nights a $50 Giant gift card will be awarded. Families develop their core values and beliefs and strengthen positive communicat­ion skills, while parents learn to show love while setting limits. Youth learn valuable refusal skills and the importance of staying drug free to achieve the goals they set for themselves.
