APRIL 18 Berks County Genealogic­al Society monthly meeting:

6:30 p.m. at the Society library on the fourth floor of the GoggleWork­s Center for the Arts, 201Washing­ton St., Reading. Brad Kissam, volunteer at Daniel Boone Homestead, will speak on Oley Valley Colonial Families. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

APRIL 22 Leesport Area Historical Society:

APRIL 23 Habitat for Humanity of Berks County’s 8th annual Birdhouse Challenge:

5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Reading. Food, drinks, entertainm­ent, raffles and the chance to bid on hand-crafted birdhouses.
