APRIL 18 Berks County Genealogical Society monthly meeting:

6:30 p.m. at the Society library on the fourth floor of the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201Washington St., Reading. Brad Kissam, volunteer at Daniel Boone Homestead, will speak on Oley Valley Colonial Families. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

APRIL 22 Leesport Area Historical Society:

7 p.m. at Bethany EC Church, 308 Main St., Leesport. Meeting followed by Show and Tell. Bring an item to share from your personal history or history of the area.

APRIL 23 Habitat for Humanity of Berks County’s 8th annual Birdhouse Challenge:

5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Reading. Food, drinks, entertainment, raffles and the chance to bid on hand-crafted birdhouses. All proceeds benefit Habitat’s efforts to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to hardworking local families. Purchase tickets at habitatberks.org.

APRIL 26 kTown Hall free Coworking Day:

Doors open 8 a.m. (can arrive any time) for free coworking day at kTown Hall Coworking, a membership-based coworking office space in old Kutztown Town Hall building at 277 Fair Street. Screenings will take place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center parking lot at Kutztown University. Offered to women over age 40 who have not had a mammogram in the past year.
