WEST FORK 68, FLIPPIN 41

West Fork junior point guard Sydney Franklin scored 13 points in the first quarter and the Lady Tigers never looked back. Franklin finished with a game-high 29 points as the Tigers beat the Flippin Lady Bobcats. Franklin hit four threepoint­ers. Katie Griffin added 16 points for the Lady Tigers. Demi Hargrove led Flippin with 11. GREEN FOREST 73, MOUNTAIN VIEW 44

The Green Forest Lady Tigers scored more than 20 points in three of four quarters in defeating the Mountain View Lady Yellow Jackets. The Lady Tigers were led by Nikki Mullen’s 26 points. Kodee and Kaitlin Powell and 16 each. Jessica Flannery led the Lady Jackets with 27. GREENLAND 47, HARDING ACADEMY 44

Greenland survived a late rally by Harding Academy to earn the victory. Down 12 points at the half and by at least 10 points throughout most of the second half, Harding Academy cut the margin to one point in the final minute. But two free throws by Greenland’s Holland Craise put the game away.

Craise led Greenland with 16 points. Lynley Crowell scored 13 points to lead Harding Academy.

CLASS 2A STRONG 49, CONWAY ST. JOSEPH 45

Brianna Newton scored 15 points and Kashuna Howard added 13 to lead Strong (21-7) over Conway St. Joseph (25-11).

The game was tied 8-8 after the first quarter, but Strong took a 34-30 lead at the half. Conway St. Joseph led 34-33 entering the fourth quarter, but Strong regained the lead in the opening minute of the fourth. MAGNET COVE 81, SPRING HILL 51

Four Magnet Cove players had at least 10 points each as the Lady Panthers (2310) defeated Spring Hill (30-4)

Taylor Wade scored 16 points to lead Magnet Cove, while Erin Panky added 14, Jessica Tuggle 11 and Abby Stevens 10.

Suzie Graham and Madison Kidd each scored 10 points to lead Spring Hill.

BIGELOW 71, POYEN 45

Emily Hensen scored 28 points and Holly Nutt added 21 as Bigelow defeated Poyen. Karson Henry scored 25 for Poyen.

CLASS 1A MOUNT VERNON-ENOLA 53, WEINER 52

MAGNOLIA — Mount Vernon-enola (31-6) blew an 11-point lead with five minutes left to force overtime, but the Lady War Hawks survived for a victory over Weiner (22-15) at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

Shanna Smith hit a three-pointer with two minutes to play in overtime to give the Lady War Hawks the lead for good. Weiner’s Katelyn Junyor had a 5-foot leaner that rimmed out at the buzzer, giving Mount Vernon-enola the victory.

But after Katie Mcninch hit two free throws to put Mount Vernon-enola up 44-33 with 5:22 left in regulation, the Lady War Hawks did not score again until they were down 47-44. Weiner took advantage of its free-throw opportunit­ies and poor shooting by Mount Vernon-enola to take the lead.

Down 48-46 with 15 seconds left in regulation, Smith worked her way into the lane and passed to Hayley Brewer for the tying basket to send the game into overtime at 48-48.

In overtime, the Lady Cardinals took a 51-50 lead on Paige Craft’s three-pointer, but Smith answered with a three-pointer to make it 53-51. Weiner’s Kaci Mack hit a free throw to cut the margin to one point, but Junyor missed the potential gamewinner at the buzzer.

WICKES 58, SACRED HEART 30

Dannille Frachiseur hit five three-pointers as Wickes (30-7) defeated Sacred Heart (29-11).

Wickes held a 22-15 lead at halftime, but Frachiseur scored 13 of her team-high 24 points in the third quarter to break the game open. Wickes outscored Sacred Heart 21-3 in the quarter.
