The A-list

-

If your time is limited, here are three new dramas and three comedies you should definitely add to your DVR list. Dramas: 1. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC). It’s The A-Team for the 21st century dealing with emerging superhumans. This goodie comes from Joss Whedon ( Buffy, Avengers) and picks up where the blockbuster The Avengers left off.

2. The Blacklist (NBC). A balding and sinister James Spader is the No. 1 most wanted criminal before he turns himself in. He will spill the beans on other bad guys, but will only deal with fetching new FBI Agent Megan Boone ( Law & Order: Los Angeles). Think The Silence of the Lambs without the culinary aspect.

3. Dracula (NBC). Jonathan Rhys Meyers ( The Tudors, Elvis) is the legendary title character disguised as an American entrepreneur in Victorian London. In reality, he’s seeking vengeance. Then he falls in love. Biting drama. Comedies: 1. The Michael J. Fox Show (NBC). The beloved Fox plays a former news anchor with a loving wife ( Breaking Bad’s Betsy Brandt) and three kids who returns to work despite his Parkinson’s.

2. The Crazy Ones ( CBS). The inimitable Robin Williams ( Mork and Mindy) and Sarah Michelle Gellar ( Buffy) are a dynamic father/daughter advertising duo with crazy ideas.

3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine ( Fox). This surprisingly funny cop show stars Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg and a talented ensemble featuring Andre Braugher. Somewhere, Barney Miller is smiling.
