Tucker torches Ozark

DARDANELLE — Dardanelle ( 7- 0, 4- 0) rolled up 199 yards on its first 13 offensive plays Friday night against Ozark (2-5, 1-3), and the Sand Lizards never let up on the Hillbillie­s in a 54-10 4-4A victory.

Running back TJ Tucker — who rushed 14 times for 229 yards and 2 touchdowns, accounted for more than half of Dardanelle’s 446-yard rushing effort.

Tucker’s second touchdown, a 2-yard run, made it 42-3 in the third quarter and set the clock rolling for the remainder of the game.

Cornerback Michael Dugan, a catalyst for the smothering Sand Lizards defense, returned an intercepti­on 39 yards for a touchdown after Tucker’s touchdown.

DOVER 16, POTTSVILLE 15

DOVER — Ethan Davis threw a touchdown pass then ran for a two-point conversion in the final minute as Dover (6-1, 3-1) edged Pottsville (4-3, 2-2) in 4-4A Conference action.

Luke Price’s touchdown catch from Davis wth 1 minute remaining covered 80 yards.

Pottsville had taken a 15-8 lead in the third period on a touchdown and 2-point conversion.

Davis also scored Dover’s other touchdown with 11 seconds to go in the first half. Price ran for the two-point conversion for an 8-7 lead at the half.

Dover’s Jonathan Mitchell had three quarterbac­k sacks.

CLINTON 31, PULASKI ROBINSON 28

CLINTON — Kort Weaver scored on a 12-yard run with 3:46 left to give Clinton (5-2, 3-1 4-4A) a come-from-behind victory over Pulaski Robinson (5-2, 2-2).

Robinson had taken a 28-22 lead early in the fourth quarter on T. J. Hammond’s 6- yard touchdown run, but Clinton cut into the lead on a safety — the second of the night for the Yellow Jackets — then took the lead on Weaver’s score.

Harrison Lester scored two touchdowns for Clinton, which also got a score from Mitchell McNeil.

Robinson was paced by Hammond’s two touchdowns and scores by Blake Burts and Hakeem Aldridge.
