Three relatives were arrested Thursday on allegations they fired into a crowd and injured two people outside a Little Rock home last week.

Officers responded shortly before 6 p.m. Oct. 9 to 8118 Winterwood Drive, where they found Rasheda Lowe lying in the driveway. She had been shot in the legs and lower back. Lowe, 23, was taken to UAMS Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

Lowe told police that Latrice Jackson, 22, and Jackson’s 50-year-old mother, Dana, had shot her, according to a court affidavit. Investigators also developed Dana Jackson’s 27-year- old son, Rodney, as a suspect.

Arrest warrants were issued for the Jacksons on Tuesday. They surrendered to police about 9: 11 a. m. Thursday, according to arrest reports.

Witnesses told police that the Jacksons drove by the house in separate vehicles and fired into a crowd of 23 people. Police reported that 13 children, ages 1 to 8, were in the group.

During the gunfire, Maurice Morning was struck in the right foot and left leg as he rushed children inside the home, according to the affidavit. Morning, 22, declined medical treatment at the scene. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Lowe’s sister, Lametra Lowe, was present during the gunfire. She told investigators that the Jacksons “emptied their clips” into the crowd before driving away, the affidavit states.

Officers recovered about 36 bullet casings at the scene. Three vehicles parked on the street were hit.

Lametra Lowe told police that Latrice Jackson had been harassing her for two years because both women had children with the same man. She later identified each of the Jacksons by their driver’s license photos, police said.

Dana, Latrice and Rodney Jackson were each charged with 14 counts of aggravated assault and two counts of first-degree battery. They were not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Friday.
