Seven properties in Arkansas have been added to the National Register of Historic Places, the country’s official list of historically significant sites, Arkansas Historic Preservation Program Director Frances McSwain has announced.

The newly listed properties are spread among six counties.

Jefferson County has two of the newly listed sites: the Redfield School Historic District in Redfield, with buildings dating to 1910 and featuring a school built through the Depression-era Works Progress Administration; and the Carnahan House in Pine Bluff, a 1919 residence reflecting the Craftsman and English Revival styles of architecture.

The Duffy House in North Little Rock, built in 1929 in the Spanish Revival style of architecture, is the only new listing in Pulaski County. Other sites are: The U. S. 64 Horsehead Creek Bridge at Hartman in Johnson County, a 1933-34 Parker pony truss bridge.

The Sid Hutcheson Building at Norfork in Baxter County, a cast-concrete and fieldstone commercial building erected around 1901.

The Harold Adams Office Building at Fort Smith in Sebastian County, built in 1959- 60 and reflecting the mid- century modern style of architecture.

The Dr. T. E. Buffington House in Benton in Saline County, a 1928 residence in the English Revival and Craftsman styles of architecture.
