The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Developmen­t Center will present “Sales Strategies for Small Business” from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Walton College Reynolds Center.

This seminar will address various types of oneon-one sales strategies and how to be effective with each, including overcoming sales barriers with specific solutions. Presenter Bill Oliver has 30 years of experience in sales, is a former small business owner, a profession­al sales trainer and is the vice president of strategic accounts for GENCO.

Feel free to bring a light supper. Drinks will be provided. Cost is $30.

“QuickBooks Introducti­on and Intermedia­te” courses with certified instructor Glenna Harrell of Beall Barclay & Co., PLC, will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Arkansas Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St., fourth floor.

The course is sponsored by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Developmen­t Center, Walton College and the UA Global Campus, Rogers. The class is $65 each person per class; free lunch if registered for both classes. Seating limited. Discount for any Northwest Arkansas chamber of commerce member from any town.

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Developmen­t Center will present “Patents, Trade- marks, and Copyrights” from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Walton College Reynolds Center.

This seminar is for business owners, inventors and entreprene­urs who want to learn how to protect a logo, invention, name or artistic creation. The session is taught by local patent attorneys from Keisling and Pieper, PLC, and will give participan­ts an overview of patent, trademark and copyright law, processes and available resources. Cost is $40. Pre-registrati­on is required at sbtdc.uark.edu.
