Take off our blinders
I often hear the question, “Has God given up on America?” I think it should be: Has America given up on God and his wisdom and truths? I believe the rampant evil and immorality casting a shadow over his creation has not diminished his power and authority, for he is eternal God and does not change. He established the laws of nature when he created all things, and man cannot change those to please his own unnatural desire without bringing judgment on the whole of Earth.
When tragedy strikes, we incessantly play the blame game and finger-pointing and only stir the pot to a greater degree to keep from pointing it back at “we the people.” We blame a flag, guns, the KKK or a troubled young man, and politicians get on the political bandwagon in an attempt to up their national stature.
In all of this confusion and chaos, I believe God still offers with his outstretched hands of love and mercy and redemption for “he is not willing that any should perish.” I believe his long-suffering and patience are about to run out based on his revealed truths to mankind. We humans need to take off our blinders and return to “the way, the truth and the light.” Otherwise we will perish as a nation. WILLA ROMINE
