Two dead, child hurt in pair of crashes
A man driving a motorcycle died in a crash Saturday in Perry County, Arkansas State Police reported.
Michael Dean Munn, 52, of Perryville was driving a 1966 three-wheeled motorcycle south on Arkansas 9 shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday when he collided with a GMC Yukon, police said.
Munn was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a preliminary report. Police said conditions were clear and dry when the crash occurred.
One man was killed and a child was injured in a Saturday night wreck in Logan County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Robert Earls, 55, of Havana in Yell County was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado south on Arkansas 309 when he struck a tree, killing him, state police said. The wreck occurred at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
A passenger in the vehicle, an unnamed child, was injured and transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, state police reported.
The Old Fort Homeless Coalition raised $2.9 million for the purchase of the building and firstphase renovation cost for the Riverview Hope Campus for homeless services south of downtown Fort Smith, coalition member Ken Pyle said. The amount raised was incorrectly reported in recent editions.
