Spanish rider Ruben Plaze Molina (above) mastered and won Stage 16 of the Tour de France on Monday, but a crash served as a setback to Geraint Thomas’ chances at joining overall leader Chris Froome at the podium in Paris. At the start of the stage, Thomas was 4 minutes and 54 seconds behind Froome. Now he is 5:32 back after suffering a terrifying crash on a hairpin bend after another rider collided into him.
