Arkansas Index falls 1.05; 11 stocks drop

The Arkansas Index, a price-weighted index that tracks the largest public companies based in the state, dropped 1.05 to 363.01 Monday.

Eleven stocks declined and seven advanced.

Shares of Murphy Oil fell 3.2 percent in belowaverage volume, hitting a 52-week low.

USA Truck lost 3 percent in light trading.

Home BancShares rose 1.8 percent in active trading.

The index was developed by Bloomberg News and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette with a base value of 100 as of Dec. 30, 1997.
