New Mona Lisa treatment available at Parkhill Clinic for Women
Parkhill Clinic for Women has been providing total health care for women for 50 years. Their goal is and always has been to provide excellent and innovative care for all ages, striving to be on the cutting edge of obstetrics/gynecology.
The clinic now provides the Mona Lisa Touch, a new and effective FDA-approved laser treatment for vaginal dryness and pain, discomfort with intercourse, bladder irritation and incontinence. These symptoms can occur during and after menopause, following childbirth or after treatment of certain cancers, such as breast or ovarian cancer.
The Mona Lisa Touch consists of three 5-minute office laser treatments spaced six weeks apart. This CO2 laser delivers controlled energy to the vaginal tissue so the cells make more collagen and promote return to normal gynecologic health. These treatments require no anesthesia, are essentially painless and are not associated with any complications. Women report improvement after the initial treatment and report an overall 80-90 percent decrease in symptoms after the course of therapy is complete.
Parkhill Clinic is the only clinic in Northwest Arkansas that provides this treatment. If a woman is suffering with vaginal dryness and pain, discomfort with intercourse or bladder irritation and incontinence, the Mona Lisa Touch may be the right solution. The clinic of eight physicians are all certified to perform this procedure and can provide consultation visits at the patient’s convenience.
The Mona Lisa Touch is another example of Parkhill’s commitment to providing the most up-to-date health care for women of Northwest Arkansas.
