ARKANSAS VS. TEXAS TECH HOW WE SEE IT

-

CLAY HENRY, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED

Until proven otherwise, this Arkansas team will have to be judged on what it’s done this September, not what happened in November against LSU and Ole Miss. Things change and that appears to be what has happened with the injuries and the defensive guys now playing in the NFL. And, I have not seen much success on the road of late and that’s where the Hogs are headed. Texas A&M 35-21.

DUDLEY E. DAWSON, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED

Just can’t see a way that this Razorback team — which is seemingly injury-prone and thin at several positions — pulls out a win at Jerry World. Texas A&M 38-21

HARRY KING, ARKANSAS NEWS BUREAU

Before the season, I picked the Razorbacks to defeat the Aggies. Based on what’s happened the first three weeks of the season, I have no choice but to pick A&M. Texas A&M 34-27

BO MATTINGLY, SPORTS TALK WITH BO MATTINGLY

A&M’s defense is better than Tech’s and offensively they are comparable. The only silver lining for Arkansas is they don’t have to play QB Patrick Mahomes again. The Hogs fall in a home game for the third consecutive week in a third different location. Texas A&M 31-17

MATT JONES, WHOLE HOG SPORTS

Texas A&M is a lot like Texas Tech, but with better athletes, especially on the defensive side. The Aggies should be able to move the ball easily and disrupt Arkansas’ passing game with two great ends. Texas A&M 42-24

ANDREW HUTCHINSON, WHOLE HOG SPORTS

After struggling against Texas Tech, Arkansas’ defense will again have its hands full with a high-powered Aggies offense. The Hogs’ running/ passing offensive balance displayed Saturday should keep them close early, but Texas A&M will pull away late. Texas A&M 42-26

AARON PETERS, RAZORBACK NATION

Arkansas can’t find the repellent for the injury bug and the red zone slows like a school zone. The Hogs leave it all on the field, but A&M sneaks away on top. Texas A&M 38-34.

BART POHLMAN, SPORTS TALK WITH BO

Until Arkansas proves that they are anything resembling the Hogs that finished last year on a strong note, expect these Razorbacks to struggle. The Tech game doesn’t provide confidence for what Arkansas will face against A&M— Arkansas won’t be able to keep up with the Aggies’ high-powered attack. Texas A&M 34-21

TOMMY CRAFT, ESPN ARKANSAS

It is hard to imagine how this week’s game with A&M will be better or even different than the last two losses. Missed tackles, turnovers, penalties, and stalled out red-zone opportunities are issues that get magnified in SEC games. Texas A&M 42-17

CHIP SOUZA, NORTHWEST ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE

Texas A&M has the experience and the athletes to be a serious contender in the SEC West, but are they ready to take that next step? Texas A&M 35-17.
