BELLA VISTA — Clifford Julian Falkavage, 84, of Bella Vista died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1931 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin the son of Josephine M. Sweek and Julian J. Falkavage.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of The American Legion Post No. 0341, and the Knights of Columbus (Council No. 9514). He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1997 after moving from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He worked for Consolidat­ed Paper Inc. for over 30 years. He was an avid woodworker and loved gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Clifford is survived by his wife: Mary M. Falkavage whom he married September 26, 1959, two sons; Thomas C. Falkavage and his wife Jennifer, of Sanger, Texas, Chris J. Falkavage, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, two daughters; Nancy A. Brundidge and her husband Michael of Delafield, Wisconsin, Ellen L. Cline, of St. Paul, Minnesota, one brother; Jim R. Falk and his wife Marian, of Plover, Wisconsin, four grandchild­ren; Erik Brundidge, of Delafield, Wisconsin, Melissa Brundidge, of Peoria, Illinois, Ashley and Joshua Falkavage of Sanger, Texas.

The Celebratio­n of his Life will be Thursday with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church located in Bella Vista with Father Barnabas Maria-Susai officiatin­g. BENTONVILL­E — James (Jim) M. Wilhm passed away on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015. He was born October 27, 1948 in Ft. Lewis, Washington to Jack and Agnes Wilhm. Growing up in a military family, he lived in various locations around the U.S. and overseas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Political Science in 1971, and married Debra Musick in 1972.

Jim worked in retail management, the last 25 years of his career being with Walmart, before retiring in 2005. In his retirement, he most enjoyed traveling to Texas to be with his kids and grandkids; building and playing his guitars; and golfing with his best friend, where the game and the friendship were more important than the score.

Survivors include his wife, Debra of Bentonvill­e; his sons, Brandon of Austin, Texas; Ryan and his wife, Gina of Austin and their children, Jocelyn, Sawyer, and Caitlyn. His sisters, Janet Burgardt and husband, Dennis of Great Bend, Kan.; Judi Slimm and husband Chris of Overland Park, Kan.; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wilhm, Sarasota, Fla.; brother-in-law and wife Doug and Betty Musick of Salina, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a brother, John.

FARMINGTON — Donald Ray Sims, 74 of Farmington, Ark. passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Fayettevil­le. He was born March 13, 1941 in Paris, Ark. to Thomas H. Sims and Lizzie M. (Wiggins) Sims. Mr. Sims was a retired facility manager for Tyson Foods, a member of Lincoln Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas H. Sims Jr., Leon Sims, and two sisters, Gladys Davidson, and Dorothy Hilliard. He is survived by his wife Sharon K. Sims, three sons, Tom Sims and wife Melissa of Farmington, Ark., Tim Sims and wife Terri of Altus, Ark., Jim Sims and, Melisa Allison of Cypress, CA, one daughter, Jackie Sims of Lincoln, Ark., one sister, Nora Mae Parker of Paris, Ark., one brother, Morris Wayne Sims and wife Ruth Ann of Paris, Ark., sister-in-law, Wilma Sims of Centervill­e, Ark., six grandchild­ren, four great-grandchild­ren, numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends who are like family the Timothy and Angela Beers Family and Kyle and Darla Neely Family.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — On the morning of October 11, 2015, Cecil Ray Cunningham, passed away in Washington Regional Medical Center at 7:10am, while surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old. Cecil was born in Ashdown, Arkansas on May 9, 1932. Cecil was the third of six children born to William and Blanche Cunningham.

He was preceded death by his parents; two brothers: Denzel Cunningham and Wayne Cunningham; and two sisters: Pauline Helton and Louise Dunaway. He was survived by his wife; Gwendolyn Cunningham, his sons; Charles “Chuck” Cunningham and wife Vickie, Joel Cunningham and wife Brandi and Jeff Cunningham and wife Elizabeth, his sister; Hazel O’Reilly, his grandchild­ren; Charles “Chuckie”, Bradley, Samantha, and Cassidy Cunningham and seven great-grandchild­ren.

Cecil retired from the Federal Aviation Administra­tion where he worked for 27 years as an Air Traffic Controller. Cecil opened the tower at Drake Field in Fayettevil­le, Ark. and later went on to work as an Air Traffic Controller in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with the U.S. Air Force.

Cecil was a member of First Baptist Church, Greenland where he served as a deacon for over 15 years. During his retirement he enjoyed teaching bible study at his church on Sundays and at North Hills Life Care and Rehabilita­tion Center on Thursday mornings, and attending Seniors of West Fork Bible Study on Tuesdays. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Cecil was an inspiring and hard-working Christian man who was loved by many.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Mary Lynne Morgan, age 72, of Fayettevil­le, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Benton County. She was born November 1, 1942 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of Oid and Donnie Humphries Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Parker.

She was an educator for 35 years, retiring from the West Fork School District. She was a resident of Northwest Arkansas and a member of Central Baptist Church in Fayettevil­le since 1961. She was well known for her sewing and culinary skills and her dedication to her Lord and family. She was a long time participan­t in Bible Study Fellowship and Gideons Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle Morgan; a daughter, Monica Frisby and her husband Jim of Fayettevil­le; a son, David Morgan and his wife Tracy of Fayettevil­le; four grandchild­ren, Erin, Cason, Robert and William all of Fayettevil­le; two sisters, Ruth Goodman and her husband John of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Kathy Walker and her husband Gary of Vicksburg, Mississipp­i; three brothers, Raymond Parker and his wife Shirley of Gladewater, Texas, Bill Parker and his wife Carolyn of White Hall, Arkansas and Wayne Parker and his wife Carol of Sierra Vista, Arizona; many nieces and nephews and other family members.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Vivian K Reddick, 94, of Butterfiel­d Trail Village, Fayettevil­le passed away October 8, 2015 in Fayettevil­le. She was born September 18, 1921 in Douglas, Arizona the daughter of Charles and Letitia Reese Kendrick. Vivian was a lady who had traveled all over the world and every continent except Antarctica. She was a graduate of Texas Christian University with her Master’s degree in education.

Survivors include her niece, Karen Thompson of Alma, Arkansas and several grand-nieces and nephews.

GENTRY — Nola Sue Sikes, 68 year old resident of Gentry, Arkansas, died October 11, 2015 at her home. Born October 9, 1947 in LaRue, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Harold Capps and Nola Nadene (Knox) Capps. She graduated from Gentry High School in 1966. Sue married Tommy Sikes on March 11, 1967 in Decatur, Arkansas. She retired from Gates Rubber Company after 32 years of service. Sue also worked on their farm with her husband, Tommy. She was a faithful member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry. Sue was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmothe­r.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Capps and her mother, Nola Nadene Capps. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Sikes of the home; two sons, Rusty Sikes and wife Carla, and Dusty Sikes and wife Shelly, all of Gentry; one daughter, Brook Dilbeck and husband Paul of Gentry; two brothers, Ricky Capps and wife JoAnn of Gentry, and Micky Capps and wife Reba of Colcord, Oklahoma; nine grandchild­ren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Gentry, Arkansas, with Pastor Dennis Taylor officiatin­g. PEA RIDGE — Marcella Jo Lee, 87, of Pea Ridge, died October 10 at Highland Healthcare in Rogers. She was born June 4, 1928 in Jacket, Missouri to Enoch Dow Patterson and Anna Josephine Morgan Patterson. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, listening to country music (Loretta Lynn, George Jones and Bill Anderson) and was a member of Pea Ridge Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julian Lee and a brother, Carl Patterson. Survivors are a sister, Geneva Yousey and husband Bill of Rogers. ROGERS — Ann Robin Southerlan­d Canode was born May 11, 1940 in Texarkana, Texas. She was the daughter of James Robin and Emma Lloyd Dodson Southerlan­d. Ann passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home in Rogers, Arkansas surrounded by family. She was 75 years of age. Ann graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City, and was a graduate of The University of Arkansas-Fayettevil­le. Ann Southerlan­d and Melvin R. Canode were united in marriage on May 1, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Ann was a successful business woman and owner of In-Depth Profiles Co.; also she was a well-known pianist performing for local events, nursing homes and retirement communitie­s in Tulsa. Ann loved to entertain, and her style and sense of humor were her trademark. She and Mel were members of South Tulsa Baptist Church. She served as Vice President of the Small Business Council of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce. Ann was a devoted member and past president of Zeta Tau Alpha Alumni Associatio­n. She also served as Vice President of Board for Metro Christian Academy and was a member of The University of Arkansas Alumni Associatio­n. Ann was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, big sister, and grandmothe­r.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Melvin R. Canode for 50 years; son, Melvin Ray Canode Jr. and his wife Michelle Canode; grandchild­ren, Evan, Parker, and Davis Canode; sisters, Lucile S. McDonald (Bloomingto­n, Ind.) and Lisa S. Light (Midwest City, Okla.); nephews, Ryan N. Burke (Indianapol­is, Ind.) and Richard D. Taylor (Choctaw, Okla.).

ROGERS — Ashley “Ash” Lee Johnson, 89, of Rogers passed away at his residence on Friday, October 9, 2015. Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana on May 25, 1926, the son of Lee and Verva Johnson. When he was 17, he enlisted and served with the 9th Army Air Force during World War II. Ashley served as a crew chief, directing and assisting a four-man crew of mechanics inspecting, servicing, and repairing B-17 airplanes where he was stationed in Italy.

Ashley married Lillian M. Lepp Johnson on November 24, 1954, and spent 61 loving years by her side. He was a graduate of Valparaiso University and Indiana University. Ashley had a long career as a baseball and football coach, high school teacher, and as president of Prairie State College in Illinois. The family lived in Chicago Heights, Illinois for many years, and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Ashley and Lillian eventually retired to Bella Vista.

Ashley was an active member of Kiwanis Internatio­nal and a Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He was a devout Catholic throughout his life, and served as the religious education coordinato­r at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bella Vista during the first ten years of his retirement.

Ashley loved fishing, golfing, taking his family camping, and the Chicago Bears. He was always quick to crack a joke, and enjoyed making his grandchild­ren laugh.

Ashley is survived by his wife, Lillian Johnson, and their five children, Susan Deitchler of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Jeffrey Johnson (and his wife, Pamela) of Lewisville, Texas; Nancy Schaudt of Kansas City, Missouri; Kenneth Johnson (and his wife, Chrystal) of Kansas City, Missouri; and Ronald Johnson (and his wife, Diane) of Kansas City, Missouri. He is survived by ten loving grandchild­ren, Max, Amy, and Emily Deitchler; Sam and Val Johnson; Kayla and Kyle Schaudt; and Brody, Anna, and Elise Johnson. Ashley is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Verva Johnson, and his uncle, Don Johnson.

SPRINGDALE — Leland E. Myers, 75, of Springdale passed away October 9, 2015. He was born December 27, 1939 to Lloyd E. and Josephine Cooper Myers. WEST FORK — Jeffery Scott Davis, 48, of West Fork died October 10th in Fayettevil­le. He was born July 22, 1967 to Ellen and Don Davis. Survivors include: his mother, two sons; Preston, Peyton, two brothers; Michael, Dustin, and other family and friends. WEST FORK — Jo Ann Parson, 79, of West Fork went to be with the Lord, October 10, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born April 6, 1936 at Drakes Creek to Bennie and Elsie Drake Garrett. She retired from the VA Medical Center after 23 years of service. Jo Ann was a member of Greenland Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, James O’Donnell Parson; parents; one brother, Carl Garrett; and two sisters, Virginia Combs and Kay Harris. She is survived by son, Nicky Parson of West Fork; daughter, Shelley Parson of Springdale; brother, Terry Garrett; three sisters, Linda Taggart, Judy Henbest and Glenda Miner; and one granddaugh­ter, Molly Parson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October14, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Glen Ludwick officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Drakes Creek Cemetery.
