Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas keeping busy
Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas has stayed busy as the leaves have begun to change.
Last month, they held their second annual fashion show and luncheon at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista with The Building providing the fashions.
”The money raised from the fashion show will go towards our sponsorship program,” said Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas Executive Director Melanie Kettner. “I want to give a special thanks to our sponsors for helping to make this event a success. We had a great turnout, and it seems like there’s going to be an increase in interest with each passing year. I also want to thank Jacquie from The Building for her continuing support of this event. We encourage everyone to go and visit her at her store in Bentonville.”
Two additional events for Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas are also on tap.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, the fourth annual Mactoberfest will be held at Macadoodles in Pineville, Mo. Owner Roger Gildehaus always enjoys working alongside Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas.
It will be held from noon-5 p.m. and is $10 per person at the door.
The beer tasting will feature several vendors from across the region sharing their latest brews for anyone who chooses to attend.
“It’s kind of like a big, giant tailgate party,” Kettner said. “There will be 18 vendors there with tables, probably with 10-15 beers per table. Like the fashion show, 100 percent of the proceeds will go toward the sponsorship program.”
Food and door prizes and a silent auction will also be included.
The following week will be the 16th annual fall wine tasting, on Oct. 25, also at the Macadoodles in Pineville.
It will be held from 2-6 p.m, with a premium tasting featured from 2-3 p.m. for an additional cost and open from 3-6 p.m. for the regular ticket price. Pfeffer’s Catering will provide their signature hors d’oeuvres throughout the afternoon. Melanie Kettner may be contacted for ticket information.
