Not fit for their offices

-

Maybe it’s just me, but I hold politicians to a higher standard than everyday citizens. The representatives of the citizens should be above reproach. They should always be honest, truthful and trustworthy, not counting Hillary. I expect them to be honest and live within the law, pay their taxes and bills. They should also have the highest ethics by just doing what’s right. They should be an example for others. I know we don’t get to have a background investigation into the background of everyone running for office (maybe we should).

A recent story identified five lawmakers who have had state liens filed against them on unpaid debt. It’s disappointing to see lawmakers who have any bad debts with anyone, but especially with the state and citizens they work for. I believe all five need to be removed and replaced. If they can’t manage their own lives, how can they as lawmakers be expected to help the state and citizens to a better life? All public offices need people who are honest, truthful and can be trusted; those who can’t should be replaced. Based on the latest report, there are five state lawmakers who appear to not be fit for the offices they hold and should resign or be removed.

Just an additional statement, regardless of which party is in control, either party can have a good idea.
