BELLA VISTA — Barbara Ann Kapke, passed away May 30, 2016, at her home surrounded by her husband and children. Barbara was born March 29, 1932, to Roge r and Helen (Overholt) Lodwick in Chicago, Ill.

She graduated from Chicago public schools and later worked as a production manager for Benjamin Moore Paint Company. In July 1952 Barbara married Robert Kapke. Upon his graduation from Bradley University, they moved to Fort Wayne, Ind. Together they spent 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. They had tours in Newfoundla­nd, Massachuse­tts, Illinois, Mississipp­i, Alaska, Washington, D.C., and Colorado. They retired to Bella Vista in 1989.

Together they had six children: Robert B. and wife Julie of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Lynn Clay and husband Scott of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Gail Davis of Bella Vista; son, Kenneth and wife Susan of Braidwood, Ill.; daughter, Lisa Harden and husband Randy of Bella Vista, and son, Richard of Kansas City. Barbara has 14 grandchild­ren and many great-grandchild­ren.

After their retirement from Colorado, Barb and Bob made many wonderful trips in their motor home. They visited Alaska fourteen times and most other states at least once. Barb was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed summer golf, swimming, bridge, canasta, and sewing. When the children were small Barb made most of their dress and play outfits. While in Bella Vista, Barb enjoyed gardening and spent hours with her flowers. Barb was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.

Barb will be missed by both family and friends. BENTONVILL­E — Mr. Kelly Fairchild, age 46, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., passed away, Monday, May 30, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e. He was born July 28, 1969, in Tulsa, Okla., to Pat McNelly Fairchild and Wayne Fairchild.

Kelly was a true outdoorsma­n. He loved hunting of all kinds and delighted at the time he spent with his boys in the woods.

Kelly was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Fairchild, grandparen­ts, Francis and Hazel McNelly, Bill and Francis Fairchild.

Survivors include: Melinda Fairchild of Gravette, Ark., two sons, Philip and wife Marsha and Kole Fairchild both of Gravette. Two nephews, ( he felt was his own), Derek and Allen Fairchild both of Centerton, Ark. His parents, Pat and Gary Stanfield of Bentonvill­e and brothers, Tim Fairchild and wife Melissa of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Gary Stanfield Jr. and wife Leslie of Seattle, Wash., a sister, Robyn Goran and husband Fran of Owasso, Okla., five grandchild­ren and paternal grandmothe­r, Vi Stanfield of Tulsa, Okla.

CENTERTON — David William Campbell, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Harrisvill­e.

Mr. Campbell was a resident of Northwest Arkansas. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He loved to fish and have his grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren around as much as possible. He was also a great carpenter.

Mr. Campbell is preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Krueger Campbell. He’s survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Campbell; his son, James ( Christy) Campbell of Gravette, Ark.; his daughter, Anna (Phillip) Byerly of Harrisvill­e; sister, Loraine Bassegio; five grandchild­ren and eight great-grandchild­ren. LOWELL — John J. Remington, 78, of Lowell went home with the Lord away May 28, 2016, at Shiloh Health and Rehab. He was born May 22, 1938, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to H.H. and Edith Remington.

John was a truck driver most of his life and was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Lowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Reta Remington of the home; children, Dusty Remington and wife Mary of Lowell, Misty Remington and husband Dave of Rockville, Md., and Kelly Remington of Dallas, Texas; two grandsons, Tyler Remington and wife Tiffany of Springdale and Zac Remington of Bella Vista; and two great-grandchild­ren, one brother and two sisters.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Maurice Udell Chilton passed peacefully into eternity on May 28, 2016, at the age of 94 1/2 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

As he often said recently, he truly had a wonderful life, but he was very ready to meet his Maker.

Maurice was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Van Buren, Mo., to Zimri and Molly Mae Chilton, the third of six children. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Okla., in 1940 and then from the Oklahoma School of Accountanc­y, Law, and Finance.

In 1941, he married Florence Elva Spence and they raised four daughters, Ann, Nancy, Pat, and Rosalie, whom he was extremely proud of and loved dearly. Maurice enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1942 and served, as he always said, for three years, six months, and nine days. After World War II ended, he went to work for the Postal Service for a short time, and then as an accountant for Gulf Oil Corporatio­n.

He spent 31 years with Gulf, living in and traveling to more than 20 countries. He retired in 1983 and then he and Florence built their dream home on 200 acres along Cove Creek just south of Prairie Grove, Ark. There he designed and constructe­d a 7-hole golf course, built beautiful things in his woodworkin­g shop, did repairs and restoratio­n work on his antique clocks, and took trips on old steam trains whenever he could. Florence died in 2002, but Maurice remained at their home “on the farm” until just 2 1/2 months ago.

He is survived by his four daughters: Ann Wilcox of Dallas, Texas, Nancy Warmack of Lincoln, Ark., Pat Potter of Conroe, Texas, and Rosalie Pipkin of Owasso, Okla.; 13 grandchild­ren: Michael McCormick, Elissa Warmack, Marci O’Connor, Heather Wilcox, Loreli Warmack, Mark Potter, Tina Roberts, Kelly Potter, Karen Potter, Carl Pipkin, Amy Pipkin, Jason Pipkin, and Colby Pipkin, as well as 19 great-grandchild­ren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview St. Fayettevil­le, Ark., 72703. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. prior to funeral service. RISON — Thomas C. “Tom” Railsback Jr., 67, of Rison, Ark., died Monday, May 30, 2016. Born in Pine Bluff, Ark . , Jan. 23, 1949, a son of the late Thomas Charles Railsback and Sue Cathey Railsback Reed, Tom grew up in Pine Bluff, attended Chamberlai­n Hunt Military Academy, then graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1967.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1969 and served four years, almost all at sea and the Philippine­s, before being honorably discharged in 1973. He earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultur­e from UA- Fayettevil­le and then worked for Phillips Farms in Jefferson County. After attending graduate school and a brief stint teaching at Watson Chapel, Tom worked for F.G. Smart Farms for several years, retiring as office manager.

A lifelong member of First Presbyteri­an Church, Pine Bluff, past member of Pecan Lake, his survivors include his wife, Kelly Corkins Railsback who he married in 1991; sister, Rebecca Railsback Phillips of Pine Bluff; nephews, Ward Phillips, Taylor Phillips; and a great-nephew and several great- nieces including the apple of his eye, Madeline Prestidge. A brother, Walter Railsback, also preceded Tom in death.

His memorial service is Monday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m., Ralph Robinson & Son Chapel, Pine Bluff. Friends are invited to gather at Robinson’s for exchanging stories and rememberin­g him during the hour before his service begins. At his request, the service will be very brief. ROGERS — David James Edmiston, 55, of Rogers, Ark., passed from this life on May 30, 2016, in Bentonvill­e. He was born June 9, 1960, in Hampton, Va., to Jesse and Betty (Odom) Edmiston. He is preceded in death by his father. David is survived by his wife, Mary Edmiston; his daughter, Michelle Leigh Edmiston; his mother, Betty Edmiston; his siblings, Deborah Baker of Arizona, Terry Lopez of California, and Brenda Laurance of California.

ROGERS — Frank M. Smith, 84, of Rogers, Ark., passed away May 29, 2016, in Bentonvill­e.

He owned and operated Frank M. Smith Real Estate Company in Rogers.

SPRINGDALE — Marie Barnes, age 98, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2016, in Springdale. She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Lowell, Ark., the daughter of Walter J. Thompson and Margaret Elizabeth Shockley.

She was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alvin Terry and Glenn Barnes, a daughter, Carolyn Goff and a son, Donald Terry.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Fowler of Fayettevil­le, sister, Dorothy Zachary of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchild­ren, Donna Rhodes, Karen Wilcher, Brian Terry, William Goff, David Goff, Richard Goff and many great and greatgreat grandchild­ren, and also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Rhodes officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery. SPRINGDALE — Elijah Dashon Boyett, infant son of Rodney Robinson and Jyssica Boyett of Springdale was born and died, May 28, 2016, in Little Rock.

SPRINGDALE — Edward Cecil Lloyd, 31 of Springdale passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1984, in Brownsvill­e, Texas, to William Edward Lloyd, Jr. and Carroll Livingston Lloyd.

He loved reading books, listening to music, gardening, taking pictures, going to the woods, art projects, stroking his beard and getting down. He enjoyed family and friends getting together and playing with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Carroll Lloyd of Springdale; two brothers, William Brian Lloyd and wife and Sgt. Steven Michael Lloyd and wife both of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Terra Jean Sisemore and husband of Springdale and Jessica Haines and husband of Kansas City, Mo.; nieces Cerenity Sisemore and Ava Lloyd; nephews; Brayden and Trenton Sisemore, Leland Lloyd and Maverick Haines. As well as all the friends that have become family.

SPRINGDALE — Lester Wayne White of Springdale, Ark., passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 26, 1948, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., to Randolph and Dorothy White.

Lester was preceded in death by his father, Randolph, and sister, Shirley Case. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carla Ivey White; his mother, Dorothy White; son, Brandon White and wife, Josie Moore White; granddaugh­ter, Thierry Phoenix White; daughter, Staci White Rains and husband, Brandon Rains; brothers, Leon White, Randy White, and their families.
