BRYANT — Michael “Mudcat” Acklin, 69, formerly of Stuttgart, died Tuesday. Survivors are sister, Shelby Churchwell of Stuttgart; brothers, Kit Acklin of Enola and Charles Acklin of McHenry, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews. FARMINGTON — Charlotte LaVaughn Hammond, 78, a resident of Farmington, went to be with her Lord on July 26, 2016, in Springdale. She was born Dec. 28, 1937, in the Wedington community, the daughter of Buril and Edna Wright Lankford.

She attended the Westside Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale. She loved bowling, reading, and family and friend get-togethers and was active in the Senior Centers in Lincoln and Farmington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Frank Hammond, one daughter, Traci Lea Hammond Harp, two brothers, Leroy Lankford and Bill Lankford, two sisters, Donna Bailey and Sondra Lankford.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jan Hammond of Bethel Heights, Ark.; one son-in-law, Bobby Harp of Farmington; two sisters, Pat Gideon and Marge Lankford both of Prairie Grove; five grandchild­ren, Ricky Hammond and wife Teresa, Derrick Hammond, Jeremy Hammond, Amy Harp and Alex Harp; four great-grandchild­ren, Kinley Hammond, Michaele Pennington, Aidan Harp and Blake Gibson and numerous nieces, nephews and was loved by many.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Mildred Lee Austin, 85, of Fayettevil­le, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in Springdale. Mildred was born on May 12, 1931, in Fayettevil­le to Waldo Gary and Madea Estelle Ives Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Trent Alan Ewart. Mildred is survived by her daughters Patricia Ramsey of Fayettevil­le, and Evelyn Schaffer of Fayettevil­le; grandchild­ren Crystal Wilson, April Lyons and Brittany Ramsey; sisters Thelma Sue Elvins and Rose Mary Austin both of Fayettevil­le; 10 great-grandchild­ren, and many other family and friends.

Graveside memorial service will be Monday, Aug. 1, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le at 1 p.m. Under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Bobby Glen Stout, 65, of Fayettevil­le, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Fayettevil­le. Bobby was born on May 29, 1951, in Fayettevil­le to Glen Stout and Mildred Hutchens Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Wanda.

Bobby is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pam, brothers, Billy Stout of Elkins and Benny Stout of Winslow, Daughters Shannon Dodgen of Milton, Florida and Dawn Sheppard of Winslow. He has six grandchild­ren, Courtney, Brenden, and Brianna of Milton, Florida and Woodrow, Olive, and Jasper of Winslow. He also has two great-grandchild­ren, Whitley and Ellison Helms of Milton, Fla.

Bobby was a true family man in every sense of the word. He loved classic country music and was a radio DJ for several years. He was also a huge fan of stock car racing and was the announcer and MC at Thunder Valley Speedway from the time he was 18 until it closed. He was then the announcer for Siloam Springs Speedway until it closed last year.

Bobby retired from Pinnacle Foods after 26 years and became an employee of the Fayettevil­le Public Schools as a custodian in 2003. Most importantl­y, Bobby was a follower of Jesus Christ. We will see you in Heaven Pawpaw!

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Nancy Peeler Barnhill Trumbo, a resident of Butterfiel­d Trail Village, Fayettevil­le, Ark., departed this life, July 26, 2016, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Knoxville, Tenn., the daughter of John H. (Barney) Barnhill, former Razorback football coach and athletic director, and Katherine Peeler Barnhill, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a 1958 graduate of Fayettevil­le High School, a student for one year at Stephen’s College in Columbia, Mo., and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

While teaching at Woodland Junior High School for 15 years, she was a favorite teacher of many students. In addition, she was cheerleadi­ng sponsor and supported athletics by assisting at the scorer’s table. Her teaching career ended early when she retired due to rheumatoid arthritis.

Nancy also was involved with Trumbo’s, a men’s clothing store, establishe­d by her husband, Ellis. She enjoyed many sporting events, holding season tickets to U of A football and basketball games. Along with her husband and their friends, they traveled to many SWC and SEC post-season tournament­s, as well as many March Madness games. As a member of Fayettevil­le Country Club Women’s Golf Associatio­n, Nancy was chairman for its 9-hole player’s group.

Working crossword puzzles and visiting with friends are among some of the other things Nancy enjoyed. A tradition for many years, Nancy and Ellis met with a group of friends for dinner every Thursday. Nancy has also been a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include: Ellis Trumbo, her husband of 53 years; Bass Trumbo, brother-in-law, and his wife Ruth Ann; several Trumbo family nephews, nieces, and their families; three Peeler family cousins; and numerous friends.

Graveside services, under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens Friday, July 29 at 4 p.m.

ROGERS — Cheryl Elaine Hevelone of Rogers passed away on July 26, 2016. She was born on Oct. 14, 1948, in Mansfield, Mo., to the late Dwight Henslee and Mary June Beazley. She was the beloved wife of the late Gary Hevelone.

Cheryl was a devout Christian who worshiped her Lord as a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell. She was also a diligent worker her whole life, and retired from Assembled Products Corporatio­n of Rogers after 27 years of employment.

It is impossible to overstate Cheryl’s impact on her loved ones. As a wife, mother, nanna, sister, and motherin-law, and friend, she was a great example of how we should all be living. She will be deeply missed by her family and community.

She is survived by her son, Shane Hevelone and wife Becky of Bentonvill­e; daughter, Kellie (Hevelone) Burnett and husband Chris of Pea Ridge; grandchild­ren, Ivy Burnett, Mason Collins, Rosie Burnett, Natalie Burnett, Grant Hevelone; sisters-inlaw, Darlene Henslee, Julie Beazley; and brothers, Larry Henslee and Kevin Beazley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, Darrell Henslee, Ronnie Henslee, Brent Henslee, and Roger Beazley.

Dale passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Chester, Ark., on April 15, 1946, the son of Hazel (Castor) and George Dover.

Dale married Lynn Wells on Oct. 5, 1976, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. He was a retired programmer with Radio Shack. After his retirement, Dale was a gifted handyman for friends and the community. Each job was met with enthusiasm. He was a member of Marystown Baptist Church.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lloyd Dover. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dover of Joshua; sons, Bill Dover and wife, Blanca of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Jim Dover and wife, Cecilie of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Brent Lynn of Fort Worth; daughter, Brandy Hommel and husband, Troy, of Burleson, Texas; grandchild­ren, Caleb Dover, Joshua Dover, Judy Dover, Bianca Dover, Rebekah Dover, Jacob Hommel and Elizabeth Hommel; sisters, Glenda Hyman and Carol Easley, both of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and several other family members and friends.
