BENTONVILLE — Alderman Tim Robinson will seek re-election in Ward 2, Position 1 on the City Council.
Robinson said his priorities would be to implement the new master plans, to strengthen branding and communication between the city and residents, and to continue the focus on alternative transportation development.
Robinson works as the senior director of Wal-Mart U.S. Pricing Strategy. He owns Phat Tire Bike Shop and has worked to make Bentonville a bicycle-friendly community through trail development, infrastructure improvements and signage.
He’s a graduate of Bentonville High School, holds a degree in economics from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., and a master of business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
He served on the board of Downtown Bentonville from 2008 to 2014, and as president in 2012 and 2013.
He and his wife, Ashley, have been married for seven years and live downtown.
“Bentonville has great momentum, and I plan to build upon these learnings and decisions I’ve helped influence during my next term on City Council,” he said. “I will also continue to balance my City Council experience with my business background to ensure the city efficiently plans, prioritizes and deploys budget dollars on the right projects at the right time.”
