Robinson seeks second term for Council Ward 2 position

BENTONVILL­E — Alderman Tim Robinson will seek re-election in Ward 2, Position 1 on the City Council.

Robinson said his priorities would be to implement the new master plans, to strengthen branding and communicat­ion between the city and residents, and to continue the focus on alternativ­e transporta­tion developmen­t.

Robinson works as the senior director of Wal-Mart U.S. Pricing Strategy. He owns Phat Tire Bike Shop and has worked to make Bentonvill­e a bicycle-friendly community through trail developmen­t, infrastruc­ture improvemen­ts and signage.

He’s a graduate of Bentonvill­e High School, holds a degree in economics from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., and a master of business administra­tion from Washington University in St. Louis.

He served on the board of Downtown Bentonvill­e from 2008 to 2014, and as president in 2012 and 2013.

He and his wife, Ashley, have been married for seven years and live downtown.

“Bentonvill­e has great momentum, and I plan to build upon these learnings and decisions I’ve helped influence during my next term on City Council,” he said. “I will also continue to balance my City Council experience with my business background to ensure the city efficientl­y plans, prioritize­s and deploys budget dollars on the right projects at the right time.”
