Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., presents the musical program, “Keep the Whole World Singing,” at 2 p.m. Sept. 11. The Pride of the Ozarks chorus, ArkAppella, the Sweet Adeline Chorus and Premium Blend, a former district champion quartet, will perform. An offering will support music education in Northwest Arkansas. An ice cream social follows in the fellowship hall.

The Oasis Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bentonvill­e, 807 S.E. 14th St., plans a series of discussion­s between Don Morrow, the church pastor, and leaders of the Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Orthodox faiths and atheist ideologies. The first discussion Sept. 14 includes the entire panel speaking on religion and violence.

Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., holds an all-church picnic at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Blowing Springs Park in Bella Vista.

Members of the church gather at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Highlands Healthcare and Rehab for a sing-a-long with residents. The Men’s Fellowship sponsors the church’s participat­ion in the annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk on Sept. 10 on the campus of Northwest Arkansas Community College.

The church presents a musical program at 2 p.m. Sept. 11 to celebrate the new concert grand piano for the sanctuary. Muriel and Emil Cross gifted the church with the Mason and Hamlin Model BB piano. The program features piano solos and duets and the church’s Chancel Choir.

The church sponsors a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12.

The Care and Share trailer will take donations Sept. 14-15 in the church parking lot.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, 1101 W. Hudson Road, offers a free seminar, “Equipping to Share: A Culture of Outreach,” about sharing the Christian faith, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Lunch will be provided, but reservatio­ns are requested by Tuesday.

The church plans a Rally Day on Sept. 11, with only the 9:30 a.m. worship service. The Rev. H.L. Bernthal will be honored for his 60 years in ministry during the service. The church holds a ministry fair and lunch after the service.

New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, 103 Riordan Road, plans a Mission Fair on the morning of Sept. 11, with representa­tives of the church’s 19 mission partners around the world.

The Piece Makers ask for help tying and finishing quilts during a work day from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 18.

During September, the church collects items for New Beginnings Children’s Home. Needed items include diapers, baby wipes, tearfree shampoo, liquid hand soap, Multi-Grain or Honey Nut Cheerios, canned goods, canned fruit, paper towels, shampoo and conditione­r.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., holds a worship service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for those unable to attend a regularly scheduled service. Lunch is served following the service, and transporta­tion is available.

The church offers the men’s Disciplesh­ip class at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. each Monday, starting Sept. 12. GriefShare classes resume at 6 p.m. Sept. 15.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry serves from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday.

Faith Bible Church in Holiday Island, 3 Parkcliff Drive, presents Awaken, a contempora­ry gospel band from the Czech Republic, performing at 3 p.m. Monday at the band shell, across the street from the Holiday Island post office on Mundell Road. The concert will be at the church if weather requires.

St. Scholastic­a Retreat Center in Fort Smith, 1301 S. Albert Pike Ave., presents a silent retreat, “O Beauty Ever Ancient, Ever New,” led by Sister Macrina Wiederkehr, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. The program will focus on the prayer of St. Augustine. Cost is $195, which includes room and board. A $50 nonrefunda­ble deposit is required at registrati­on, which closes Sept. 16.
