BENTONVILLE — A Siloam Springs man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday after he admitted raping a 6-year-old girl.

Dustin Robison, 19, pleaded guilty to rape, a Class Y felony. The plea came under an agreement attorney Steven Kay reached with Carly Marshall, deputy prosecutor.

Robison was arrested Feb. 12. His arrest came after Benton County Sheriff Office deputies responded to a call concerning the rape of a child. A man told a deputy about claims Robison sexually abused the girl, and a woman showed the deputy the girl’s drawing of stick figures containing sexual images, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The girl was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County where she provided details of being sexually abused by Robison.

Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Robison’s guilty plea.

Robison was sentenced to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He will have to serve 70 percent of his sentence before he will be eligible for parole. Robison also must abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 15 years after his release from prison.

Robison must register as a sex offender and also complete the prison’s sex offender treatment program.

Robison received 224 days of jail credit for the time he spent in the Benton County Jail awaiting trial. He was ordered to pay $1,695 in court costs.
