A Farmington man and his girlfriend were arrested Friday after two drive-by shootings in Fayetteville, according to Fayetteville police.

Kernan Veal, 34, of 150 Kildeer Drive in Farmington was arrested in connection with two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic act, attempted murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm, all felonies.

Veal’s girlfriend, Sarah Inman, was arrested as an accomplice. Inman, 33, faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic act.

Veal told police he shot at the victim after the pair was involved in a fight on Thursday evening, according to a preliminary arrest report. Inman also told police she was with Veal for both shootings.

The victim and Veal parted ways after the fight but Veal returned about 10:34 p.m. to the victim’s recording studio at 3100 N. Market Ave., the report said.

After circling around the parking lot in a white Chevrolet Equinox, the victim said Veal held up a black rifle and fired five shots toward him before speeding off down North College Avenue.

On Friday, the victim reported finding several bullet holes to the front of his home on North Sheryl Avenue, the report said. Officers also found five .22 caliber shell casings in the street. The victim said his two children were in the home when the shooting occurred.

Veal and Inman were being held Friday at the Washington County Detention Center. Veal was being held without bond while Inman had a partial bond of $685.

The shootings were unrelated to the Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally, according to Sgt. Craig Stout, Fayetteville police spokesman.
