TEXAS A&M VS. ARKANSAS: HOW WE SEE IT

-

CLAY HENRY, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED Both teams feature a good collection of defensive ends. Deatrich Wise and company make one more plays than the Aggies. Austin Allen gets another chance to come through in the fourth quarter and makes plays just like the last time the junior quarterback was in Texas. Arkansas 35, Texas A&M 24.

DUDLEY E. DAWSON, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED Should be a late-night battle to the finish line. Pivotal game for both teams. In a role reversal, the Razorbacks make the big play late and Jerry Jones at least gets to celebrate one win during the weekend. Arkansas 31, Texas A&M 27.

MATT JONES, WHOLE HOG SPORTS Arkansas’ run game and ability to finish in the red zone is the difference. Don’t underestimate the motivation the last two losses to the Aggies will have on the Razorbacks. Arkansas 34, Texas A&M 27.

BO MATTINGLY, SPORTS TALK WITH BO Arkansas’ defense is better prepared to play this game than either of the previous two years. The Aggies aren’t quite the explosive offense they’ve been the last two years. They are, however, a little more well rounded. I think Arkansas is the more complete team. Arkansas 24, Texas A&M 17.

HARRY KING, ARKANSAS NEWS BUREAU Not convinced that Arkansas can handle Daeshon Hall and Myles Garrett and freshman Trayveon Williams might be the running threat needed by the Aggies. Texas A&M 31, Arkansas 28.

BART POHLMAN, SPORTS TALK WITH BO Arkansas heads to Arlington with a lot of momentum, an offense that’s finding its groove, and a much improved defense. It won’t be a third-straight OT game against the Aggies — the Hogs win in regulation Arkansas 31, Texas A&M 24.

TOMMY CRAFT, THE MORNING RUSH The Arkansas defense has faced and beaten three teams that run a hurry-up quick tempo offense. This should have the Hogs better prepared to face the Aggies. Limiting the A&M wide receivers and containing Trevor Knight are essential, and Myles Garrett will make you play a little different trying to stop him. Arkansas 42, Texas A&M 28.

JIMMY CARTER, WHOLE HOG SPORTS Arkansas is on a four-game losing streak against A&M and is due. The Hogs rebounded from what looked like a meltdown against TCU and that’s a positive sign for a change in fortunes on Texas trips. Arkansas 28, Texas A&M 24.
