Mural topic at museum
Cheri Coley and LaNita McKinney, members of the Marion Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will present a program titled, “The World War I Mural at the Historic Washington County Courthouse,” at noon Wednesday at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale.
In 1920, the Marion Chapter commissioned New York artist William Steene to paint an 8-by-36foot mural to honor Washington County servicemen who died during World War I.
The Shiloh Museum, located at 118 W. Johnson Ave. in downtown Springdale, hosts a Sandwiched In noon program every month.
