■ Lady Gaga has postponed her world tour’s European leg until next year because of ongo - ing health problems, the tour’s promoter said Monday. The six-week, 18-show leg of the Joanne World Tour was set to kick off in Barcelona, Spain, on Sept. 21 and end Oct. 28 in Germany. “Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform,” tour promoter Live Nation said. “She remains under the care of expert medical professionals who recommended the postponement.” The promoter said the 31-year-old singer-songwriter “plans to spend the next seven weeks proactively working with her doctors to heal from this and past traumas that still affect her daily life, and result in severe physical pain in her body.” Lady Gaga also pulled out of a performance last week in Brazil after being hospitalized with “severe physical pain.” Earlier this month, she postponed a Montreal concert. Lady Gaga said Monday on Instagram that’s she been honest about her “physical and mental health struggles” and has been “searching for years to get to the bottom of them.” “As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth, and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference,” she wrote. Lady Gaga previously said she suffers from fibromyalgia, a syndrome of unknown causes that can lead to lasting muscle pain and fatigue. No new concert dates have been confirmed for Europe, but Live Nation said the North American part of the tour is scheduled to resume in November as planned.
■ Actress Kate Walsh revealed in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine that she had a benign brain tumor removed two years ago and has fully recovered. The former Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice star told the magazine that she suffered physical and cognitive problems before being diagnosed with a tumor in her brain the size of a small lemon. She said that after getting the news, “I just left my body.” Walsh had surgery to remove the growth three days later. It was later found to be benign. Walsh said she took nine months off before going back to work. Walsh is joining with other actors who played doctors on TV — including Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Dempsey and Donald Faison — as part of the “TV Doctors” campaign by the health insurance company Cigna. The campaign is aimed at encouraging people to get annual checkups.
