BATESVILLE — Paul K. Henry, 92, of Batesville, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, in Batesville. Born July 11, 1925, in Little Rock, Ark., he was the son of Paul Kruger Henry and Mary Waldrens Henry.

Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II. After the war, he attended Ouachita where he received his degree in business administra­tion, and continued his post-graduate work at the University of Arkansas. Soon he met and married the former Virginia Southerlan­d of Batesville. They decided to move to Batesville and join the J.K. Southerlan­d Company, and later merged their company to help create Banquet Foods Company. Banquet Foods became part of ConAgra Inc. in 1980.

Politics was his passion, serving two terms in the Arkansas Legislatur­e as Representa­tive. He was Past Vice-President of Poultry Operations Banquet Foods and ConAgra Foods, Executive Committee Member of the National Broiler Council, Past President Batesville Chamber of Commerce, Past President Arkansas Poultry Federation, Past Board Chairman of the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission, Past Board of Trustees Ouachita Baptist University, Past Board of Directors Arkansas Rural Endowment, and King White River 2007. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge No. 10 in Batesville, Little Rock Scottish Rite Bodies, Shriner’s Scimitar Temple, American Legion BPOE, and First Baptist Church of Batesville.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula Terrell and her husband, Norman, and Mary Henry, all of Batesville, and Linda Wood of Charlotte, Ark.; five grandchild­ren; nine great-grandchild­ren; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at the funeral home.

BENTON — Tracey Tarvin Patton passed away unexpected­ly on Sept. 30, 2017, at her home in Bauxite, Ark. Tracey was born on July 22, 1970, in Miami, Fla., which was appropriat­e because she will always be known as “The Sunshine Girl”.

She excelled in many things throughout her lifetime, but loving others was the most outstandin­g. She was bannered with numerous awards throughout high school, college, nursing school, and her careers, but her true legacy is the optimism, smile, laughter, compassion, and strength that she always radiated.

She was passionate­ly in love with her husband, Daryl Patton, and fiercely prideful and protective of her three children: Dylan, Austin, and Cameron. She loved her children so well and was first to sacrifice herself as well as encouragin­g them no matter the circumstan­ces.

She also put her heart and soul into every football program that she supported. She was the biggest and greatest Fayettevil­le Bulldog, Bauxite Miner, and Bryant Hornet fan you’d ever meet. She spent most of her career as a nurse and she put her whole heart into each patient’s life. She cared for people more than usual and would do anything

to make someone happy.

She was preceded in death by Leo and Dana Galvin of Little Rock, Ark., as well as Joe and Opal Tarvin of North Little Rock, Ark.

She is outlived by her father, Joe Tarvin and mother, Carol Tarvin; her brother, Mark Tarvin and his wife Sally Tarvin; her sister, Leigh Maxwell and her husband Al Maxwell; her husband, Daryl Patton; her daughter, Dylan McWherter and her husband, Taylor McWherter; her sons, Cameron Vail and Austin Vail; her stepdaught­er, Courtney Probst and her husband Nathan Probst; and her stepson, Drew Patton; number of nieces and nephews; along with her fur babies, Emmitt, Zeke, and her most cherished Gus.

There will be a visitation at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton this Wednesday night from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., and a Celebratio­n of Life this Thursday at Midtowne Church in Benton from 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Memorial donations can also be made to any First Security Bank in lieu of flowers or gifts, as well as through a GoFundMe account that has been created to help with funeral expenses and support during this difficult time.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Jerry Lewis, 58, of Fayettevil­le passed away Oct. 1, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Oct. 1, 1959, in Fayettevil­le to Jerry Norris and Maxine Paschal Lewis. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Bell.

Jerry did public works for the City of Fayettevil­le for 38 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Dunn Lewis of the home; his parents, Jerry and Maxine Lewis; a daughter, Jessica Lewis Gerlt of Fayettevil­le; a son, Jerry Tyler Lewis of Fayettevil­le; a brother, John Lewis; a sister, Sandy Bounds; two grandchild­ren, Lily Gerlt and Oliver Gerlt “Big O”; and a brother-in-law (best friend), Billy Dunn.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Dowell Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tim Beers officiatin­g under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

GARFIELD — Linda Beatrice Casey, 75, of Garfield, passed away at home on Oct. 2, 2017. She was born June 30, 1942, to the late Earl and Mamie Terry.

She was a member of the Pea Ridge Freewill Baptist and retired from Pel Freez in Rogers after 32 years.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patsy Terry.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Debbie Hamilton and husband, Billy of Garfield; and sons, Ricky Tacker and wife, Gina of Tennessee, Kevin Tacker and wife, Terry of Hindsville, and Jimmy Tacker and wife, Vicki of Huntsville; 18 grandchild­ren; 34 great-grandchild­ren; and five great-great-grandchild­ren; brothers, Marvin Terry of Eagle Rock, Mo., Lloyd Terry of Texas, and Walter Terry of Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, from 10-11 a.m. in Pea Ridge Freewill Baptist Church with service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield following the services.

ROGERS — The Reverend John William Cemer, 84, of Rogers, Ark., a man of faith, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, lovingly surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Irene Cemer in 1995.

Survivors include three children, William “Bill” Cemer Irene Morey and husband, Edward, Robert “Bob” Cemer; seven grandchild­ren, Eric Cemer, Colby Cemer, Meagan Clark, Kimberly Alexander and husband, Thomas, JoAnne McGuinness and husband, James, Rebecca Cemer, John Cemer and wife, Amanda; and 12 great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Riverdale Cemetery in Riverdale, Neb., with the Rev. Bob Cemer officiatin­g.

ROGERS — Louemma Jean Bracket Jensen Lindemood Jensen, formerly of Webster City and Eldora, Iowa, more recently of Bella Vista and Rogers, passed away on Sept. 29, 2017. She was born in Raymondvil­le, Mo., on April 25, 1925, to Walter S. and Annette N. Surby Bracket.

She is survived by her two children, Kristin (Robert) Weis of Muscatine and David (Sara) Jensen of Rogers along with 10 grandchild­ren, and 12 great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Hildred Bracket; Helen (Frank) Kaighin of Longview, Wash.; Donald (Peggy) Brackett of Des Moines, Iowa and Robert Brackett of Longview, Wash.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.

SPRINGDALE — Marie Plymale, 86, of Springdale, passed away on Oct. 1, 2017, in Springdale. She was born on Oct. 9, 1930, in Corinth, Miss., to Claude and Dorothy (Derrick) James. Later she would marry James Plymale on March 22, 1947.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Dorothy James; her husband, James Plymale; and two sons, James Lee Plymale and Terry Plymale.

Left to cherish Marie’s memory are her daughter, Deborah Cox and husband Jimmy of Springdale; a son, Larry Plymale of Fort Smith; a brother, Troy Lee James of Corinth, MS, a sister, Lil Norton of Bakersfiel­d, Calif.; six grandchild­ren and many great-grandchild­ren.

Marie loved working as a cashier at Walmart for many years. She loved seeing her customers. Marie also loved spending time with her grandchild­ren. She will be missed by those who knew her.

Visitation services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Westfield Chapel funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Westfield Chapel funeral home. Marie’s final resting place will be at Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs.

TULSA, Okla. — Gary Stephen Madison, age 68, passed peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at his home, after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 24, 1949, in Tulsa, Okla., to Harry and Jeane Madison. He was a graduate of Rogers High School in Tulsa.

He was a talented man, working as a machinist, skilled carpenter, and business owner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family most of all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda; a brother, Michael and wife, Terri of Louisiana; a sister, Vicki Sanders of Tulsa; two daughters, Traci Jordan and husband Randy, and Cynthia Kirkhart of Tahlequah; a son, Zachary Madison, and two stepdaught­ers and stepson, Meggin, Amanda, and Bradley Payne of Watts; 11 grandchild­ren, Randall Jordan and wife, Wendy, Katy Carey and husband, Ricky, Janelle and husband, Will, Garrett and Christophe­r Kirkhart, Jordin Hougland, Jaxin Madison, Jacob, Lindin, Madison and Lilly; four great-grandchild­ren, Brooklyn, Brayden, Luka and Jordan; many nieces, nephews, friends and family who have touched his life, whom are invited to Moore’s Southlawn, 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, to provide love, support and compassion to all in this time of grief.
