FAYETTEVILLE — A man charged earlier this year with robbing a bank was shot by a man he kidnapped and was trying to rob Friday, according to a police report.

Lentonio Marcell Jenner, 25, of Rogers was arrested at Washington Regional Medical Center in connection with aggravated residential burglary, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, battery and terroristic threatening.

Jenner walked up to Jerry and Glenda Moore’s house on River Meadows Drive, took out a gun and ordered Jerry Moore inside about 2:45 p.m. Friday, according to a preliminary arrest report released Monday.

Jenner threatened the man and his wife and forced them to get in their vehicle. Jenner wanted them to drive to their bank for money, according to the report.

Jerry Moore had a gun inside his vehicle and shot Jenner in the leg near Huntsville Road and River Meadows Drive, police said. Jenner and Moore fought until Jenner was pushed out of the vehicle. Jenner was bleeding and laying in the road near the bridge over the West Fork of the White River when police found him.

The Moores’ daughter described what happened to her parents and said they asked her to speak for them Saturday. Police did not identify the Moores.

The couple did not know Jenner, Sgt. Anthony Murphy said in email.

Police found three guns and shell casings during their investigation, according to the report.

Jenner’s criminal history includes robbery and battery, according to the police report.

Police say Jenner and another man walked into the Arvest Bank at 1113 Garland Ave. on Jan. 3, brandished guns, demanded money and fled with $13,615. Police have said the pair are among four people who robbed the bank.

Jenner also may have been involved in armed robberies at two other banks and attempted robberies at three restaurants in Northwest Arkansas, according to Jenner’s previous arrest affidavit.

Two men robbed First National Bank in Centerton on Dec. 23. Two men robbed the First National Bank in Johnson on Nov. 28.

Jenner was charged with aggravated robbery and released Aug. 3 from the Washington County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond, according to a document filed Sept. 1 with the Washington County Circuit Court. The bond was reduced from $100,000.

Jenner was moved Sunday to the Washington County Detention Center. He was being held Monday on a $50,000 bond.
