BENTONVILL­E — Robert “Bob” Joe Kell of Bentonvill­e passed away Dec. 9, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Catron, Mo., the son of O.V. and Obel Polly Patton Kell.

Robert served in the Army and was a maintenanc­e supervisor at Happy Bays Car Wash.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Morgan. He survived by his wife Darla Wyatt Kell of the home; his children, Robert A. Kell of Florida, Paula McNeese of Bentonvill­e, and Penni Kizzar of Bentonvill­e, his siblings, Peg, Joann, Kenny and Bill; eight grandchild­ren and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

CENTERTON — Marie T. Bryant, 98, formerly of Siloam Springs, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at the Apple Creek Health and Rehab in Centerton.

Marie was born on April 18, 1919, in Leach, Okla., a daughter of William D. Brown and Ellen Schook Brown. She was the widow of the late Ward E. Bryant, who preceded her in death in 1974. Marie had been a real estate agent and loved sewing, her vegetable garden, taking walks and was passionate about antiquing. Marie was a member of the First Assembly of God in Siloam Springs.

She is survived by one daughter, Gale Chenot of Bakersfiel­d, Calif.; six grandchild­ren, 21 great-grandchild­ren and three great-great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Carol Tatum, three brothers and six sisters.

Graveside services will be held at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery in Spavinaw, Okla., on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. Pastor Robert Polvado of Owasso, Okla., will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Lotta D. Hollenbeck, 91, passed away Dec. 12, 2017, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. She was born November 1926 in Pforzheim, Germany, and lived in Chicago and suburbs until 1987 when she retired to Fayettevil­le, Ark.

Lotta is survived by her husband of 70 years, Art, two daughters, one son, eight grandchild­ren, 16 great-grandchild­ren, and her brother, Richard. She lived a full and joy filled life and remains an inspiratio­n to her family. There will be no memorial or funeral services. Arrangemen­ts by Epting Funeral Home of Fayettevil­le.

LITTLE ROCK — Regina Ann “Jeannie” Smith was called to heaven on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017. She passed peacefully at her home in Little Rock, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Jeannie was born June 13, 1956, in Richmond, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Smith, three children, Whitney Smith, Craig Smith and Matthew Smith; her father, Ray Terrill of Little Rock; sister, Jacqueline (Mark) Morris of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Mark (Roberta) of Jupiter, Fla.; nine nieces and seven nephews. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, George Smith (Michelene) of Bismarck, Ark.; Rob Smith (Gwen) of Lake Charles, La., and sisters-in-law; Cindy McDaniel (Stephen) of Meridian, Miss., Debbie Allain (Ladd) of Lake Charles, La. and Stacie Stockton of Orange Beach, Ala. Jeannie was preceded in death by her mother and role model, Bernieta Terrill.

She graduated from University of Maryland before relocating to Little Rock, Ark. She was an extremely successful business owner. At the time of her passing, she owned BSI Inc., a health insurance company, and SO Restaurant. Her hobbies included interior decorating, cooking, traveling, listening to music and dancing. She was a master sommelier (wine expert).

Words cannot adequately describe Jeannie. She was a woman who simply loved God and every person God placed on her path. Her beauty radiated not only on the outside, but from deep within. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and lived an incredible life; never shy about sharing her faith with others.

Jeannie could light up an entire room without saying a word. Although our angel has transferre­d to heaven, her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her children, husband, and the countless lives she touched. ROGERS — Gerald Ray Allen, 65, of Rogers, Ark., passed away on Dec. 14, 2017, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. He was born March 12, 1952, in Prairie Grove, Ark. Gerald is survived by his wife, Mary Allen; sons, Michael Allen, Adam Allen and Anthony Allen; a sister, Kathy Medhaug; a brother, Bill Allen; an aunt, Carolyn Cluck; and many friends and family. Davis of Rogers, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017. She was born on July 7, 1939, in Shawnee, Okla., to Willard G. Muncy and Edith O. Smith.

She had five children: Donna Hoyt of Neosho, Mo.; Darlene Kauffman and husband, Dennis, of Waynesvill­e, Mo.; Barbara Farley of Gravette; Billy Davis and wife, Sharon, of Springdale; and Jimmy Davis of Siloam Springs; 13 grandchild­ren and seven great-grandchild­ren; a lifelong friend, Sue Walker of Pea Ridge; and numerous nieces and nephews, and they all called her “Mom.”

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Basil Smith, one sister, and six brothers. Patsy is survived by four sisters: Sue Eilar, Barbara Quinn, Linda Evans and Judy Murray; and one brother, Donnie Smith, all of California.

SPRINGDALE — On Dec. 13, 2017, Anna Nicole Gadison (fondly referred to as “Anna Banana”), another one of God’s angels, was called home to be with the Lord! She resided with her family in Springdale, Ark., with her mother, Helena L. Wilson-Gadison, and brother, Jonathan A. Gadison.

She was born Jan. 13, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio, to Tony and Helena Gadison. Anna grew up in the Springdale School system and attended high school, ran track and played basketball at Joe T. Robinson High Senators (Pulaski County) and completed her senior year and graduated from Springdale High School Bulldogs (Washington County) where she received numerous recognitio­ns and awards for her outstandin­g athletic skill and ability.

Some highlights were serving as school ambassador and being selected in 2016 by 10th grade Spanish teacher to travel abroad to Spain and other European Countries with Education First. Anna attended North Arkansas College (Harrison, Ark.) her freshman year on a full women’s basketball scholarshi­p, inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for her academic achievemen­ts and was on the Dean’s List.

Her sophomore year, she transferre­d to the University of Arkansas (Fayettevil­le, Ark.) to pursue a major in finance and minor in business. Anna has an outstandin­g track record in leading sales while working for Bath & Body Works (NWA Mall) and Dillard’s Lancome Beauty, as a beauty consultant.

Growing up, Anna and her family were long- 0term members of Wesley United Methodist Church, Springdale, where Anna was most known for leading the congregati­on in the Lord’s Prayer. In December 2016, she and family became members of the Historical St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Fayettevil­le. Anna was a member of the Northwest Arkansas NAACP and the University of Arkansas’ Black Student Associatio­n and loved helping others and making people feel better about themselves.

Besides passions for basketball and track, Anna’s interest spanned fashion, beauty and a love of traveling. Anna spent most of her summers playing AAU basketball and her beloved teams were AR Lady Rebels, AR Mavericks, NWA Camp Unity and her family fondly remembers her first exposure to basketball in 5th grade with the Sonics who developed her love for the game!

Anna’s goals were to complete her undergradu­ate and master degrees from the University of Arkansas and go on to lead a successful corporate career with a Fortune 500 corporatio­n. She will be forever missed for her infectious smile, beauty, intelligen­ce, athletic prowess and “can-do” attitude. She truly believed with God, all was possible.

Survivors include her mother, Helena, father, Tony and his wife, Kelly; sisters, Selena M. Gadison (25), Karoline Putnam (12); brothers, Jonathan A. Gadison (13), Kobe Putnam (19) and Kory Putnam (13); nephew, Kenneth Carter Williams (3); uncle, Bernie L. Brown (wife, Angela) and close family friend, Dr. John L Colbert. She leaves behind beautiful memories with an army of family and close friends across the USA.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Fayettevil­le with Pastor Curtis Smith to officiate the service under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral of Springdale, Ark.

SPRINGDALE — Noel Watkins Upton, better known as “Nana,” was embraced by the arms of Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. She was born on Feb. 17, 1937, in Bolinger, Ala.

Nana was a sassy, headstrong woman with the most generous and loving heart. Throughout the course of her life she cared for numerous children and individual­ly cherished every single one. She loved taking them out to eat, showing them off to her friends, and took great joy in telling everyone how much she loved them. Her life was far from perfect, but in the end we only remember the years of memories and moments that she created. She will be loved always and greatly missed.

WINSLOW — Harold Dean Shipp, 80, of Winslow, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2017, in Rogers. He was born on Aug. 11, 1937, in Hartman, Ark., Arkansas to Sherman and Lera Mae (Barber) Shipp.

Harold was a family man who loved God and he impacted countless lives over the years through his ministry. He was very dedicated to his family. Each of his grandchild­ren were prayed over and rocked to sleep in his old rocking chair. He would often show his love for people by affectiona­tely assigning them a unique nickname.

Harold generously supported local churches and ministries throughout the area. Those who knew Harold most would tell you that he would spend many hours praying without ceasing and reading his Bible.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Lera Shipp; a daughter, Ruth Ann Shipp; one brother, Leo Dane Shipp; and one grandson, Cameron Dale Shipp. Left to cherish Harold’s memory are his wife of 57 years, Linda (Holman) Shipp of Winslow; children, Janet Pickle of Fayettevil­le, Ricky Shipp and wife Tonya of Prairie Grove, David Shipp and wife Jody of Fayettevil­le, Becky Villines and husband Justin of Compton, Angel Harvey and husband Shane of Benton, Crystal Waggoner and husband Jacob of Elkins; two sisters, Shirley Mae McCarty of West Fork and Mary Beth Hyden of Berryville; 18 grandchild­ren; nine great-grandchild­ren and many nieces and nephews. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 7:30-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Faith Full Gospel Church in Bethel Heights. Harold’s final resting place will be at Mountain Springs cemetery in Compton, Arkansas.
