MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Freshman forward Kevin Knox scored 19 of his season-high 34 points in the second half and Kentucky overcame a 17-point deficit to beat No. 7 West Virginia. Knox’s 3-pointer with 1:05 remaining put Kentucky ahead to stay. Nick Richards dunked off a rebound with 30 seconds left, and Quade Green and Wenyen Gabriel each sank two free throws after that to seal the victory.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama freshman Collin Sexton scored 18 points, Herbert Jones added 14 and the Crimson Tide held Oklahoma freshman Trae Young to 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the floor. It was the second time this season Young was held under 20 points and it was his lowest scoring output since scoring 15 points in the Sooners’ season opener. Khadeem Lattin led Oklahoma with 18 points while Rashard Odomes added 15.

AMES, Iowa — Reserve Lamonte Turner scored 20 points and James Daniel III had 16 off the bench as Tennessee rolled past Iowa State for its sixth victory in seven games.
