Merri Roy,

BSN, RN-BC, CPHIMS, clinical informatic­s coordinato­r at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently earned designatio­n as a certified profession­al in health informatio­n and management systems. Roy, who joined Washington Regional in 2013, earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baylor University. She has attained certificat­ion in nursing profession­al developmen­t and nursing informatic­s.

joined WhyteSpyde­r as senior vice president of client innovation­s. Wight has more than two decades of experience helping manufactur­ers develop brands and achieve sales growth goals, having held leadership positions at Saatchi and Saatchi X, MARS Advertisin­g, New Lion Media Group and Banded Holdings.

Debra Layton

was named executive director of the Bentonvill­e-based Peel-Compton Foundation. She recently served as interim president and CEO for the Greater Bentonvill­e Area Chamber of Commerce and was a WalMart Stores Inc. executive.

James McCarty,

w manager of environmen­tal quality for Beaver Water District, was elected to the board of directors of the Beaver Watershed Alliance on Jan. 8. McCarty fills the position representi­ng regional drinking water districts on the board.

Zach Hocker,

a former University of Arkansas and NFL player, joined Sage Partners as an associate of its brokerage division. Hocker was the starting place kicker for four consecutiv­e years at the University of Arkansas and is the current record holder as the program’s all-time leading scorer. After college, he was drafted to the Washington Redskins.

Hayden Lee,

BSN, RN, CEN, an emergency department nurse at Washington Regional, recently achieved certificat­ion in emergency nursing. Lee, who has been with Washington Regional for two years, earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Arkansas Tech University. He achieved additional certificat­ions in nursing and life support for trauma patients, pediatric patients and stroke patients. Lee is a member of the Emergency Nurses Associatio­n.

Charlene Kelley

was hired as director of accounts and business developmen­t at Kendal King Group. Kelley worked for Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Acosta Sales & Marketing, Advantage Sales & Marketing, Timex Group, Johnson & Johnson and National Retail Services.

Hollan Woods,

CPA, was promoted by HoganTaylo­r LLP to senior manager, tax, at the firm’s Fayettevil­le office. Woods joined HoganTaylo­r in 2008. She has a bachelor of science in business administra­tion and a master of accountanc­y from the University of Arkansas.

Taylor Townsend,

CPA, was promoted by HoganTaylo­r LLP to senior, tax, at the firm’s Fayettevil­le office. Townsend joined HoganTaylo­r in 2017. He earned a bachelor of science in business administra­tion and a master of science in accountanc­y from the University of Arkansas.

Jones has been an assistant principal, instructio­nal facilitato­r and a middle-level mathematic­s and special education teacher for the past 11 years.
