Button earns Scout award

Connor Button, 17, a member of Troop 46 at the Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference

Center in Fayettevil­lle, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He built and installed shelves in the band percussion room at Fayettevil­le

High School. He is a brotherhoo­d member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s honor society, and has served in several leadership positions. He’s also visited the high-adventure bases at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Northern Tier in Minnesota. He will attend this summer’s National Order of the Arrow Conference at Indiana University. He is the son of Kristi and Rob Button of Fayettevil­le and a senior at Fayettevil­le High School.

Jones attains Eagle Scout
