PREP SOFTBALL

Bentonvill­e West 18, Springdale High 1

Hallie Wacaser belted a three-run home run as part of a 15-run explosion in the second inning as West snapped a three-game losing skid with a rout of Springdale at Hunts Park.

The Lady Wolverines (14-6) sent 20 batters to the plate in the second as Sydney Sneed had a pair of two-run doubles and Jazmine Dodd drove in two runs with a single and a double. Dodd finished with three hits and also scored three times, while Ryen Rassi had two hits and drove in two runs.

Brittany Crowson allowed a run in the third and gave up only four hits over three innings.

PREP BASEBALL

Shiloh Christian 13, Gravette 3 (5)

Michael Connolly hit a pair of home runs and drove in three runs to lead the Saints to a run-rule win on Monday.

The Saints belted three homers on the day as Drew Dudley and Conor Germann also went deep, and each drove in a pair of runs.

Sophomore Walker Williams allowed just two hits and struck out seven for Shiloh Christian (11-5, 6-0).

Bailey Soule’ homered and drove in two runs for Gravette.

Greenwood 11, Clarksvill­e 0

Chance Eoff pitched a one-hitter and struck out 10 to lead the Bulldogs to a shutout win.

Greenwood (19-3) banged 11 hits, highlighte­d by Blake Pschier’s grand slam. Connor Noland, Peyton Holt and Jace Presley all had two hits.

Fort Smith Northside 6, Fort Smith Southside 4

The Grizzlies grabbed an early lead then held on for a close finish to down their crosstown rival in 7A-Central action Tuesday.

Northside (8-16, 3-4 7A-Central) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first and added single runs in the second and fourth innings to take a 6-0 lead before the Mavericks rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Jackson Scrivner was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs to pace Northside. Jake Rincon was 3-for-4 and Kadin Hyatt was 2-for-4.

Khaden Washington earned the win, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing three hits with seven strikeouts before tiring after 108 pitches. Scriver finished up to get the save.

Stratton Whittingto­n took the loss for Southside (7-11, 1-5) despite nine strikeouts.

Mac Moody was 1-for-4 with a double for the Mavericks.

Pea Ridge 12, Gentry 1

Bradley Wright was 2-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Blackhawks to a blowout win Monday.

Jakota Sainsbury was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Peyton Galbraith drove in three runs for Pea Ridge.

Myles McFeron was 2-for-3 and Garrett Hays was 2-for-2 for Gentry.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

Southweste­rn Christian 5-2, Ecclesia College 4-0

The Royals were swept in a doublehead­er on Tuesday on the road at Southwest Christian.

Ecclesia dropped the opener 5-4, giving up two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Justice Jones took the loss.

The Royals (20-15) managed just two hits as a pair of Southwest pitcher dominated. Elijah Saldana had a double for the Royals.

Southwest won the nightcap 2-0 as Shelby Sherrill went the distance for the win. Trever Smith took the hard-luck loss.
