BELLA VISTA— Richard J. Malatesta, 86, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Dick was born in Pompton Lakes, N. J ., and has one sister Eugenia Schmidt.
Dick courageously served in the Army as a first lieutenant and later went on to get a degree for engineering. Richard helped in the major engineering construction of the Glen Canyon dam.
For the past 13 years Richard and deceased wife Patricia called Bella Vista home, surrounded by their love for golf and their loving grandchildren Benjamin and Grace.
Richard is survived by his sister Eugenia Schmidt, his oldest son Richard Jr., his wife and kids, Sydney, Cici, and Sage; and his youngest son, William, his wife, Elizabeth and two children, Benjamin and Grace.
A mass in honor of Dick will be held at the chapel at St. Bernard Catholic church in Bella Vista on Monday, June 11 at 10 a. m. We will also be having a celebration of life at our home on Beaver Lake at 15540 Putman Road, Rogers, Ark., 72756, on Sunday, June 10 at 1 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.

BELLA VISTA — Doris Wever, 96, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away April 22, 2018, at Highlands Healthcare and Rehab in Bella Vista, in the loving arms of her daughter. She was born Jan. 28, 1922, in Wilson County, Kan., to Silas O. and Jennie Garner McPherson.
She married Elmer Wever Jr. on Sept. 10, 1942. Their love was very special, in my heart I’m so glad they have been reunited. Doris loved life! Especially her afternoon cocktail; with her favorite sound being the shaking of ice in her glass. Cheers Mama!
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; and 11 siblings.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Kelly Eighmy and husband, Bill, of Bella Vista; four grandchildren, Kaitlin
Ivey and husband, Mike, of Olathe, Kan., Tyler Wilson and wife, Rachel, of Santee, Calif., Jenny Gilmore of Norman, Okla., and Kyle Eighmy of Bella Vista; three great-grandchildren, Harper Gilmore, Echo Gilmore and Mara Ivey; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Farmington Cemetery in Fredonia, Kan. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 210 N. FAYETTEVILLE — Harry Harvey, 69, Fayetteville, Ark., died May 28, 2018, in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 17, 1949, in Huntsville to Ray and Lovella Harvey. Survivors: daughters Elizabeth Ledbetter, Jeannette Perkins, Michelle Harvey; seven sisters; five brothers; nine grandchildren. Memorial service: 1 p. m., June 2, 2018, at Westfield Chapel, Springdale, Ark.
LINCOLN — Clyde Howard Wood II, “Chuck”, age 66, a resident of Lincoln, Ark . , passed from this life on May 29, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Dec. 7, 1951, in Fort Bragg, N.C., to Clyde and Peggy Wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Chuck was retired from the U. S. Air Force. He was the former city manager of Lincoln, Ark.
Left to cherish Chuck’s memory are his wife of 44 years, Joyce (Fulfer) Wood; his daughters, Heather Hardcastle (Alan), Andrea Brown (Daniel), Laura Wood (Eric Smith); his siblings, John Wood, Beth Capehart, and Jorge Wood; his grandchildren, Lexie, Trey, Reece, Brooklyn, Nate, Jackson, Cameron, Aiden, Caleb, and Cole; and a great-grandson, Liam.

RUSSELL VILLE— Judith Johnson Scott, age 72, of Russellville died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. She was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Knoxville, Tenn., to Walter and Margaret Johnson.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She held a variety of jobs outside the home including, personnel staffing specialist, school teacher, office manager, retail sales, and catering.
She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Russellville and an ordained elder. She enjoyed being a band mom for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook. At Central Presbyterian Church she established and maintained a meal mission in the church which prepared and delivered hot meals to the sick, needy or shut-in. She was an avid supporter of animal rescue and participated in many animal rescue transports to homes where they would be cared for and loved.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Montgomery; a step- father, Edward Reeverts; and a daughter, Katherine Scott. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas Scott Jr.; a daughter, Liz Scott of Bentonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kelsey of Rogers and Matthew and Lizet of Russellville; eight grandchildren, Kate, Scotty, Anna, Emily, Will, Harrison, Heath and Hogan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jerry and Linda Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn.
In accordance with Mrs. Scott’s wishes no funeral services will be held. A private family memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The online obituary and guestbook are available at www. shinnfuneral.com.
