ARKANSAS vs. OLE MISS: HOW WE SEE IT

-

CLAY HENRY, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED

Three weeks ago I wouldn’t have predicted this Arkansas team could win a shootout, but there has been enough improvement with the offense to provide a little more confidence this week against Ole Miss. Rakeem Boyd should have a big day and get some help from Michael Woods and C. J. O’Grady. Defensively, the secondary has to make some plays against another good set of wide receivers after getting torched by the nation’s best set last week. Connor Limpert will be the difference for the second straight year. Arkansas, 34-32 DUDLEY E. DAWSON, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED

Saturday night in the Rock. Arkansas’ RPO (Run/Pass Offense) getting better. Ole Miss’ self-proclaimed NWO (Nasty Wideouts) showing they are one of the best groups in the league. The defenses not exactly thriving. Arkansas trying to win a fifth in a row over Ole Miss. Should be a fun one with plenty of offensive fireworks. Arkansas, 51- 50. MATT JONES, WHOLE HOG SPORTS

Arkansas’ defense was gashed by Alabama. Ole Miss has scored at least 70 points twice this season, but the Rebels don’t have near the same offensive line as the Crimson Tide, and Ole Miss has its own problems on defense. I expect a high-scoring game under the lights at War Memorial Stadium. An Arkansas team with growing confidence should find a way to break through in front of a big crowd. Arkansas, 42-38 SCOTTIE BORDELON, WHOLE HOG SPORTS

Arkansas fans will be fired up for a meaningful night game in Little Rock. The Razorbacks should be eager, too, with three winnable games ahead. I think we see a breakthrough and an exciting game. Arkansas, 28-24 TOMMY CRAFT, ESPN ARKANSAS

It’s been a long time since the last night conference game in Little Rock. It should make for some great tailgating. There should also be a lot of points with Ole Miss in town. Expect a high-scoring shootout and Chad Morris’ first SEC victory. Arkansas, 44-38

Arkansas is good enough to beat Ole Miss behind what should be an awesome environment in Little Rock. Arkansas, 34-31

Arkansas is improving every week, but can the offense outscore Ole Miss? This might be a game where the team that has the ball last wins. Ole Miss, 38-34 HARRY KING, HAWGS ILLUSTRATED

A guess that Ty Storey or Dre Greenlaw or De’Jon Harris makes a play at a critical moment. Arkansas, 28-27

CHIP SOUZA, NWA DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE

The Razorbacks played their best offensive game of the season last week against Alabama and appear to finally have found successful combinations. Alabama gashed Arkansas repeatedly on chunk plays, but is playing at a historic level offensively. Ole Miss is explosive, but it is not Bama. Going out on a limb here and saying Arkansas goes 4-0 over the next four weeks against Ole Miss, Tulsa, Vandy and Bye Week. Arkansas 41-38 in OT.
