Dave and Gemma (Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs) pull out all the stops with their elaborate plans to throw an unforgettable birthday party for young Grover (Hank Greenspan) as he turns 7 in the new episode “Welcome to Grover’s Birthday.” When all that preparation goes off the rails, though, Malcolm and Marty (Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears) are quick to step up with a solution. Meanwhile, Calvin’s (Cedric the Entertainer) unfortunate choice of gift sends someone to the hospital. Tichina Arnold also stars.

Magnum and Higgins (Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks) are understandably shaken when one of her former MI6 colleagues abruptly turns up nursing a fresh gunshot wound in the new episode “Day of the Viper.” They’re even more alarmed, however, by the news he has to deliver: The assassin who killed Higgins’ true love has resurfaced on Oahu. While he and Higgins spring into action, Magnum asks Rick (Zachary Knighton) to take over a case, which unfortunately soon goes sideways. Ian Pryce guest stars.

Embarrassed by her birthday meltdown, Stassi tries to find a way to make things up to Beau, while James, newly sober, starts taking steps to mend his old friendship with Lala in the new episode “Love Thy Mother.” Jax stirs things up at a SUR staff meeting, while Kristen celebrates the relaunch of her T-shirt line and the Toms pitch some cocktail ideas to Lisa. Elsewhere, Katie, Stassi and Kristen are reminded that age doesn’t always bestow maturity when their mothers come to town.

The hospital is still under quarantine, and the chaos and noise of the emergency room threaten to overwhelm Shaun (Freddie Highmore) as this hit medical drama returns with the new episode “Quarantine Part Two.” Elsewhere, while Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) struggles against long odds to keep her patients alive, Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) fights for her own life. Despite the quarantine, Dr. Melendez and Claire (Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas) desperately search for a way to complete their patient’s bonemarrow transplant.
