On Jan. 22, Bella Vista P.E.O. chapter CD
celebrated the 150th anniversary of the inception of P.E.O. with a luncheon for its members at St. Theodore Episcopal Church. The chapter celebrated the advancement of women, the education of women and the motivation of women to achieve their highest aspirations. Prior to lunch being served, the women viewed a documentary film telling about how the sisterhood was begun in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, on Jan. 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College. Sue Williams, CD social committee chairwoman, reported that $2,084,031 has been distributed in the form of scholarships, grants, awards and loans to date in 2018 alone.
