Mark Shields, ukulele instructor, helps Hannah Rodriguez, 6, of Rogers play chords during a ukulele workshop on Monday at the Arkansas Arts Academy K-6 campus in Rogers. The Arkansas Arts Academy held workshops for students on their February break. The workshops are a mix of first- through fourth-graders and will meet from noon to 3 p.m. until Friday. They are preparing for an outside performance. During the first Friday of each month, the school gets together for rise and shine, a celebration of achievements of the kids with academic awards. Students are rehearsing to perform Bruno Mars’ “Count On Me.”
