Audubon Society hosts bird counting event

Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society will host a Great Backyard Bird Count field trip at 9 a.m. Saturday at Devil’s Den State Park west of Winslow. Meet at the Devil’s Den Trail parking area south of the Lee Creek Bridge.

Anyone interested in birds is welcome to participate. Audubon membership is not required. The count is mostly level walking on paved roads and trails. Data will be entered into a national Great Backyard Bird Count database.
