Trump’s biblical qualities not to everyone’s liking

It is my understanding that Chris Buskirk (“Christians who support Trump,” May 19 Perspective section) is giving Christians a free pass to qualify Mr. Trump as president. Well, if they can refer to the leaders in the Bible who are “craven, ruthless, merciless sinners” as God’s chosen leaders, I can see how they can easily live in these days and times. But not everyone wants their children to be subjected to a president who lies, has questionable morals and is a media hog (i.e. narcissist), etc.

As for his accomplishments, he has seated two conservative judges. The religious right has infiltrated government (under the noses of any and all Democrats) with their views on reversing Roe v. Wade. Trump has given them exactly what they wanted, so what is the real message here? LINDA BROWNING Rogers
